What Phil said
They have the fFFP rule to consider as well, paying £170k aweek for a player training with the youth team when your desperatly trying to balance the books doesn't mkae sense.
Plus he won't be able to play against them if it is a loan as we have been led to believe so they have no worries there. Also I imagine they don't see us as genuine title challengers ergo not their direct rivals and probally hoping that if we have Adebayor we may take a few points off who they see as their title rivals?
Pretty sure Afflay is out for six weeks. Will be interesting to see if we do get Adebayor abd the Journo sticks to his KJH is going to be a Spurs player by August 31st? There has been plenty of interest in Crouch but I did read on the Stoke forum that the impression was Crouch wasn't keen on moving there, we haven't had ITK on him in awhile.
I personally hopping Ackies Sigs come off
Rossi/Llorente - Adebayor - 2 from RM - Samba
Now that would be an impressive window!
They may be mega rich...but there are limits to what they can get away with.
Also the reason, I suspect, that Chelsea are farting about with bids that wont even begin to tempt Levy to relent.
Shame iwas getting my hopes up for Affelay Still i forgot their was talk of 2 from Madrid?? watching tonights game De maria would be just glorious hes is excellent...wishful thinking though...still who could it be? it hasnt been spoken of for some time?. I dont see Rossi happening full stop although his team mate Nilmar is it? he looked v.good tonight Llorente? god knows did we show him around the training ground as some have said? again its gone quiet on him! so again i dont think itl happen aslong as Ade comes in Diarra comes in and a CB then il be v.happy anything extra will be gratefully recieved
Think about City wanting to win the league for a second. They will need the teams around them to drop points. We are capable of beating anyone on our day so that plays into their hands. Also when we play them Ade isn't eligible so we are back to Pav, JD or Crouchie so that helps them too!
If they can shift half of his salary plus weaken their direct opposition its a win plus they obviously believe that they have more chance of winning the league than us if we went head to head. When did we last challenge? Quite frankly with the money they have spent if they didn't back themselves they would be mad.

Anyone else slightly worried that it's all one quiet on the ITK front?
Got to agree with you there Matty. I wonder if we've sounded him out and instead of saying yes or no he's said 'not at the moment'. I think he would like to prove himself in the Prem and we are probably only one of 6 teams that could tempt him. If we improve enough this window then who knows. I certainly can't see any of the other English teams going for him this window.
I can remember Rebrab saying at the start of the window that if we have to pay say £30M for a player that we can later sell for £40M then we will do it.
If we sign Rossi I'm sure his price will go up.
Just to reiterate, it was widely reported that Villareal's el presidente has said Rossi can go, as long as it's for his €/£44m buy-out clause.
expect an opening bid of 14 million from us then

You do know he doesn't play for us right?
