Rejoice! Huzzah! Let out three lusty cheers and throw your hats into the air! For yesterday was a good day! Yesterday was a cryptic free day!

Last night the wife stripped naked and asked me, "What turns you on more, my pretty face or my sexy body?"

I looked at her and replied, "Your sense of humour."

We kick off the ITK with peanut with news about O'Hara

Now a Wolves player. Registration gone. Announcement tomorrow.
The first of many outs one would hope.......

Then Ari Gold put down his copy of The Times and said........

I am told that...
That Parker talks are underway.

Fee not agreed. Expected to meet in the middle though at around £5 million plus possible add-ons.

And my reading is that we were always going to sign him and it's to do with the probable exits of Jenas, Palacios and the departure of O'Hara rather than anything related to you know who.

EDIT: And just seen the Times have run a story on it too.

Over to Archie and Roger.
Over to Archie indeed, for later on........

Archie said this on Parker.......

nothin to do with Luka but to do with nolan(suppose obvious). Wham wanted him in before discussions started...

We will go to 7.5m max...
And then this on Adam

Not to do with Luka again! trying to upgrade midfield options...

preliminary talks
Which confuses me. If we were seconds away from a deal in January surely we'd be much more advanced than preliminary talks?

In other news, yesterday my mrs stopped me from going to a Ting Tings concert.

I told her to shut up and let me go.

And that's all for today. A big thank you to you know who for giving us a cryptic free day.

Enjoying the Transfer Window? Does our coverage of ITK give you the horn? Well, we have introduced horn tax. Please donate to the site to settle your bill, thank you!

The Modric chat got out of control again I see. Good job someone was on the ball to find the ITK snippets in there otherwise they wouldhave got completely lost.

I wonder how many snippets get lost in the mayhem?

And IOMLS is right, if you want to comment on Modric, please use the thread provided.

Whilst we are (at your request) moderating this forum as lightly as possible, if ITK starts getting lost we'll have to rethink how we do things and maybe get more heavy handed. This will give you lot the hump, which in turn will give us the hump because you had your chance to meet us halfway.

So everyone will have the hump. It'll be like a bunch of hunchbacks having a showdown. Stoof will feel well at home.

I refer you to my answer yesterday morning - not a chance. Haven't you seen the newspapers this morning?

It started well, I was moving every post from here to the Modric thread, but then it went crazy.

That's alot of humping.

I don't really understand the links to Adam. He would be at best our 'backup' VdV but for the 10m fees being quoted it would be a huge risk for a player who performed for about 4 months last season.

Odd one that.

I thought we agreed a £5.5 million fee for him in January so I can't see how the price could have jumped so much

Anything about that young Argentinian we were meant to be signing? I saw a news story a couple of months ago about it and haven't seen anything since...

Adam would be a bizarre signing. I just can't see where he'd fit in...especially if we plan on signing Parker too.

Nope! I am going to stick my neck out and say that Modric will sign a new deal with us for more wages before the end of the transfer window.
Absolutely wouldn't surprise me. However I would be equally sure there would be some form of gentlemens agreement behind it that he can leave next summer if we fail to make the Champions League.

I know that I was just pointing out that I doubt there would be a £4.5million disparity in our agreed price

Personally I don't think there is any interest in Adam. Think leaks of interest in Adam, along with tabloid talk about Diarra is all designed to force West Ham's hand to deal at a sensible price

Suspect the most important bit of news there was the stuff about O'Hara. Really can't see Levy adding significantly to the squad until some of the deadwood is shifted. He has spoken a few times now about how it is too big and don't see why he would want to make that worse.
