I find it hard to believe that it could be Lovren who only signed for Lyon last summer although apparently we were interested.

Ba would be a better option than Kalinic and I would think we could get him for around £6m.

Ba's power versus Kalinic's technique - not much in it, but I'd probably swing towards Ba too. Would be happy with either as a 3rd striker though.

Personally I'd love it to be Srna, been banging the Srna drum for years, would be the signing that Neville never could be. Class with top experience and would fill a place we desperately need to upgrade in.

Where you hear that Nic?

Think he said in an interview that he was going to the UEFA cup final.

Was some ITK the other day that our scouts have been watching Falcao since 2008, but this'll be the first time Redknapp will have seen him in the flesh. Hulk's a no-go now after his new contract yesterday.

We have definately watched Falcao for a long time, which I dont expect is a good thing as such. Either we dont like him or he aint been available. I really hope its the latter and the stance has changed

Read it on one of the other forums, assumed they'd seen it in a news story.

Re: Hulk, I'm not sure the new contract and the buying the third party owners out means he won't be moving. In fact, it makes me think it more likely for him to move.

We were watching him back in his River Plate days, so not sure it's always been an availability thing.

Sounded like we had an opportunity to sign him last summer but Redknapp wasn't convinced.

Really hope we've been building a long-term relationship with him, like we did with Berbs, and Redknapp gets wowed by him tomorrow so we can swing into action.

Really hope not because Porto will only let one leave this summer and Falcao is the real prize.

@danashcroft

I hope you're right. Someone suggested that he was learning English ready for a move. I agree with you on this one, I hope we wing it and sign him

Didn't we watch Berbatov for years? Infact wasn't it his stated reason for coming to us that we'd stayed interested in him and monitored his developement over a sustained period.

Yeah I remember reading this, I think he's been quite vocal about his ambition to play in England. He should def be our No1 Striking target
