Two quick things ftom ITK

Firstly, I think the air of caution surrounding Yedlin is based solely on his nationality. There's an underbelly of snobbery to suggest he wont improve us. Ive just seen a US team BEAT Holland and world champions Germany in their own back yard. They looked excellent, and they are excited about Yedlin. I think he will play a substantial role this season.

Secondly Im optimistic because we seemingly dont want Cabaye. That says to me that we EXPECT to sign Scneidrlin, kramer, bender or Imbula.

Id be happy with that

Agreed Ryan, i have seen Yedlin play many times for Seattle, and Klinsmann speaks extremely highly about the kid and helped pave the way to WHL (i am not saying he was instrumental but he has knows Baldini well). Yedlin for me will become another Mason, Bentaleb player in my opinion. The hold up to first team football will be how Poch handles Walker, but for sure this kid has far more talent and future potential than Walker. The Club did not bring him in on a shit or bust bet. Finally i also understand that Gary Smith also recommended him highly to the Club though i do not know his connection to any staff or management at WHL?

I don't know about excellent footballers, but they are producing decent enough footballers and they are well organised and tactically efficient. They work hard and coherently and that can overcome individual deficiencies I think.

What a shame Townsend wasn't born in Arkansas................
