There's rumours that Kante has a£20 million buyout cause.

I'd snap their hand off for him.

Personally think he's the best player of his kind in that position.

Could play with Dier or be Dier's cover if needed. depending on who we're playing.

I still think he's the main reason why Leicester were so successful this season.

Agreed but we wouldn't be the only ones. Plus would he leave the current champions after they've acheived what they have?

Depends if he thinks they've peaked. Champions League football wherever he wants to go.

Worryingly most of the media seem to think he wants to join Arsenal, although I'd be shocked if they got him and Xhaka...

He said during the international break that he was just concentrating on Leicesters season but will see what the future holds.

He hasn't committed himself to Leicester since unlike Vardy and Mahrez.

I hope we do get him as if he does leave he will enhance any team in the League.

I agree with you but honestly we should bang a bid in if there is a clause, worst that can happen is he says no which would be understandable but at least we tried.

Would be perfect for us as could play in either the Dembele or Dier roles but I just don't think we'd be able to compete with the big boys on wages. No ITK so won't go on but you'd think Levy would have put some feelers out there, he loves a release clause.

I can't believe he didn't get any of the individual awards. He was instrumental for them. Scott Parker was player of the season for keeping West Ham up but I think Kante deserved it more for being so consistent ALL season. Both Maghrez and vardy went through 6-7 game spells where they were not producing anything whereas Kante was integral and almost ever present.

They have lost/shifted some old heads in the CM area though, Flamini, Arteta and Rosicky all gone now.

I get that, but I'm not sure if Wenger would be prepared to reduce Coquelin and Elneny to cover those losses, you are probably not talking about a great deal of appearances.

Also Kante and Xhaka would be £50m plus on midfield and we all know he'd rather play 1 or less DMs to accomodate Cazorla/Wheelchair/Ramsey.

I would really like Phil Jones actually as a realistic target.

If we can make him half the player he was a BBurn we've got a steal, plus cover/challenge for dier (alongside other positions)

Not getting excited about Batman until the stoof stamp comes out but it would be a big upgrade on what we have

Think Lacazzette would fit our playing style better but not going to complain if we get Batman

No chance of Kante imho, clubs much higher up the financial food chain will be all over him

I find this very strange for two reasons:

1) Nike have just today announced an enormous commercial partnership with Chelsea. That's them essentially off the table. What are they going to do - have a Nike Stadium West and a Nike Stadium North?

2) All the industry opinion says we won't start looking for a deal until the year before the stadium opens. Because of the risks of delays, non-completion etc., we'd just get such an inferior deal negotiating this far out, compared with what we would get when the new stands are standing tall and just needing a final coat of paint.

I think this ITK might be Chinese whispers about the Chelsea deal

As others have said their deal with Chelsea is for kits - like they have a deal with a number of other PL clubs for kits. Chelsea stadium is anywhere between 3-5 years away from being completed and given some of the complex issues they have to face maybe even that long to get to the stage we are now - no-one is agreeing a stadium deal that far ahead of time.

Emirates is a premium brand, Dubai is associated with glamour, luxury, wealth, Nike the opposite extreme, we need a premium brand sponsor

Have you ever flown on emirates? My most recent flight was standard class coming back from Dubai last year - the air con was broke so we sat in 40 degree heat in the plane for nearly an hour - worst experience on any plane i've ever had. The inflight entertainment systems were fairly shitty, certainly no better than anyone else doing long haul and the rest of the plane was the same as any other long haul.

In fact we had a second leg of the flight from Dubai to Male that although booked with Emirates was being fulfilled by Quantus and their planes were much nicer than the Emirates ones.

Emirates as an airline are about as premium brand as British Airways, American Airlines, Virgin etc...
