Respect the info but Nike doesnt do stadium rights. And they wont start now with us. If they do start, it would probably either be a bigger team(no matter the sport) or at the University of Oregon. Not Tottenham Hotspur. Hate to butst your bubbles, guys.

Wasn't there talk of Levy trying to negotiate 'cornerstone' sponsorship or something along those lines. I'm not sure how it works, but it seems to be an American model. Maybe that's what Nike have signed up to, rather than the main stadium sponsor.

Like this for example.

Keeping this quoted for when you're wrong.

I guess this means that you really trust the source here.

Ah well, if I make a bad pun it might make me feel a bit better...

I guess Nike ticked all Levy's boxes.

Nope. Still ticked off.

Ha! That's better.

Interesting info, especially when they sign a mega deal with the chavs.

I think we may need to change the motto of the club to 'We want to do our business early'.

However this will only apply each year between the middle of May and the middle of August.

On all other dates the motto should be changed subtly to 'We wanted to do our business early'.

Bit concerned actually, the info journos put out a while back (similar time to the original ITK) was £30m per season, we are going to look a bit silly if we get less than Chelsea are now getting despite throwing in naming rights

I don't know the sponsorship market very well but traditionally naming rights do not hold much value is my perception. I think the OS are close to securing something for just 5m a year and that's a stadium which will hold numerous events and had the olympics. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

The problem with sponsorship to an Olympic Stadium is there is no value as people will just call it the Olympic Stadium.

So with a new stadium I would expect significant value attached to bit epl and NFL exposure in London the world city.

Naming rights hold about £5m-£10m of value per year. But my problem is, Arsenal's deal with Emirates happened years ago and that was the shirt and stadium sponsor deal. If we cant get £10m more than that for a stadium/apparel outfitter deal then our marketing value hasnt increased at all lately.

Just checked and it looked like Arsenal got £90m for circa 15 years. City's doesn't count as that was barely commerical. Now that obviously covered a chunk of the stadium project but to be honest with the new TV income, I'd rather us not sell them at all for £5-6m a season.
