Nike Spurs kits I have no issue with

But the Nike Arena or Nike Bowl just does not scream 'premium', we will have one of the most state of the art stadiums in Europe yet it might be named after something you find in discount buckets in Sports Direct, sorry but it just doesn't feel right

Money is money but I will be disappointed if Nike is our stadium sponsor

Hardly a premium brand, it is mostly worn by chavs, Jeremy Kyle show guests who churn out 6 kids while never doing a days work, and wanabee gangsta rappers who wear baseball caps back to front, when you go to Sports Direct you see a lot of Nike gear at 60% off

Emirates is a premium brand, Dubai is associated with glamour, luxury, wealth, Nike the opposite extreme, we need a premium brand sponsor

But if Nike money gets us world class players i can stomach it i guess
Have you ever flown Emirates or been to Dubai ? Emirates is a second rate airline and Dubai is a desert money laundering centre.

Many times x2

I was involved in helping organising a car show out there, Dubai is associated with glamour, wealth, A list celebs, super yachts, the Burj Al Arab, admittedly I never experienced any of those, my company put me up in a Holiday Inn, but Dubai is probably the most up market destination in the world, and Emirates is their national airline so Arsenal would defo be looking down on us if we became the Nike Bowl

Maybe you associate Nike with Sports Direct, but for the vast majority of the world, including the US, Nike is associated with sportspeople and teams at the highest level. NFL, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer. The best and most successful names in the business.

I think you've smoking too much Shisha my friend. It has a few "malls" and a few luxury hotels but the rest of it is still desert and very much pony, even compared to the next door Abu Dhabi, which at least has a bit more class. Dubai is only up market for chavs who can stay on the Palm, not even the M.East stay there for luxury, they go to classier places like Oman.

As to Emirates, I've flown business class all around the world and it is one of the worst airlines out there. Anyone thinking luxury in terms of airlines thinks Singapore or even BA but definitely not Emirates.

I have flown all over the world, on multiple airlines, and I have to disagree, Emirates the times i have flown business class with them picked me up in a Mercedes from my home, chauffered me to Heathrow, took me by Mercedes to my hotels the other end, delivered me back to the airport again, and at Heathrow took me home again in a Merc, I have flown Singapore and BA and neither did that, only ones who have bar Emirates was Malaysian a few years ago, Emirates service of business class passengers pisses all over any other airline, and the seats, food, tv and wines were well decent too

Exactly this- I couldn't give a monkey fuck that it's Nike, It's not BedFred or WeBuyAnyShit.com, and if it gives us a decent financial deal over an extended period of time then that's what counts. Nike is a serious global brand, let's not fixate over what Arsenal have.

I'm not claiming to have flown first class all over the world but I've flown with most of the major airlines, British, American and others and I have to say in my limited view Emirates was by far a superior experience.
Dubai is a City in the desert without any history or soul but if it stands for anything it's glamour, wealth and success (albeit a shallow type of financial success rather than life fulfilling happiness)

@Drexl Do you really think Arsenal fans will mug us off because they have some arab airline as their sponsor and we have the biggest sporting brand in the world as ours? Better yet, why would you care? Of all the things they could mug us off for this won't be one of them.

We could do a fuck ton worse than Nike. West Ham's rumoured sponsor is Mahindra ffs.

I might have ethical reasons for my dislike of Nike and coupled with some boring templates recently, but to say Nike is not one of the top brands in the world is just insane!

Yes they produce some cheap tat, but then so does EVERY clothing manufacturer. Nike is a serious player and a serious sponsor.

Lol emirates is definitely not second rate....the only airline that I've flown that comes anywhere near it is Turkish airlines. You want a try-hard airline then i suggest qatar.

I think we should have our kits made out of hemp by two hippies.

We may only get £200 a year sponsorship, but I'd sleep better at night and that's the main thing.

Can you two maybe take this to the 'My cock's bigger than your cock' thread...

Bottom line is Nike are globally one of the biggest players in sport and if they want to chuck a shit tone of money at us then it's fine by me. No I don't personally wear their gear, but they're being talked about like they're Dunlop ffs
