Hola dickweeds

As we begin the sloooow build up to the transfer window actually opening one can only hope the very tall chap with a full head of hair that runs the club has learned his lesson and does his business early this time.

What's that you say? He not tall with a full head of hair? He's a bald headed dwarf? Yeah, yeah I know, I know, but he ain't never gonna learn his lesson neither, so expect the usual.

This morning Mrs A&C said to me that I seemed disinterested and bored whilst slipping her one. Ah well......I suppose I better get back to her and finish what I started.

Meanwhile........At Levy mansions a certain 3ft 6" bald headed person was taking a shower and singing a little song.

"First I was afraid,
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live without Kane in our side
But then United made a bid,
I saw the money wanted rid
And I grew strong
My bastards sons will love this song
They got my back
If I sell Kane,
they'll make excuses
Can never do no wrong again
No matter what it is that I decide to do
My bastards sons will have my back and they'll defend me against you

So now go, walk out the door
You're anti-Levy
And you ain't welcome any more........

Suddenly a buzzer interrupted him in full flow, his Gloria Gaynor wig slipped at a crazy angle as his pushed the intercom.

"What is it? ****!"

One of his flunkey's stuttered a bit as he tried to get the words out. "Its Spurs Community.......they've opened the transfer rumours section"

"Fuck" shouted Levy, banging the wall so hard his wig fell to the floor "I bet that **** A&C is already gearing up for a summer of ripping the piss out of me"

His flunkey looked nervous "But you got the BSoDL"

Levy's headed snapped around and he fixed the intercom with his "I might be short but a i'm a fucking big man" stare. "Fat lot of good them ****s are"

END

More as the window progresses

oooooh did you hear that? Your dad don't reckon much on you.

Saps :p

Good morning - Levy to spash the cash early and make our signings before the Euro's shock - can it be true? Certainly hope so!

I think we may need to change the motto of the club to 'We want to do our business early'.

However this will only apply each year between the middle of May and the middle of August.

On all other dates the motto should be changed subtly to 'We wanted to do our business early'.

'We troll our fans' seems the most apt motto for the modern Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Every summer I suggest the same change;
Audere est facere -> Dolce far niente.

I knew A&C was making all the shit up when I read about the Gloria Gaynor wig.
"wig fell to the floor".

Levy would NEVER assault his precious wig like that.

I have faith in the bald man because I have faith in the bold man who just recently signed a new contract. Expect he'd been given promises and guarantees for that to happen.

For what it's worth, I don't think it's all Levy's fault when business isn't done early.

It's in nobody's interests to sell early, unless they are desperate to sell (and we rarely want players that others are desperate to sell).

I'm sure if someone did some sort of study, it would show most transfers happen in the last two weeks compared to the rest of the window put together.

Of course we do then have the added issue of Levy trying to negotiate what font the contract should be signed in so that he gets an extra win, so as I said...I'll believe it when I see it.

That probably depends on the clubs situation. Big clubs can afford to release early or leave it late as they have enough muscle to do their business regardless.

Smaller clubs though have to play the game. They want it to go on long enough to attract maximum interest and value, but not too long or they run out of time to agree replacements.

We can't and usually won't just throw extra money to simply bypass this game, so we play. Sometimes we get our man early, sometimes later, sometimes super last minute levy-time. Often not at all.

I certainly do not think we always deliberately wait hoping for a better deal.

85% of all transfers in Europe (including Januarys) happen in the last fortnight of August.

Goat:

We've been informed that Nike have already signed a deal with Spurs that relates to both the kit and stadium rights. The value will "exceed what Emirates pay Arsenal".

Nike (and the NFL) are looking to re-strengthen their position in the UK football market, hence the other deals they are doing as well.

what do they pay the scum? 30mil a year?
Yes - for combined shirt and stadium sponsorship deal.

For info (kit deals):
Gooners get £30m per year from Puma
Manyoo get £75m per year from Adidas
City get about £20m per year from Nike
Chelsea £30m from adidas but will get £60m per year from Nike from next year

If we are looking at kit and naming rights, this could be massive.

Respect the info but Nike doesnt do stadium rights. And they wont start now with us. If they do start, it would probably either be a bigger team(no matter the sport) or at the University of Oregon. Not Tottenham Hotspur. Hate to butst your bubbles, guys.

So does this mean we're going to be playing at The Nike Stadium? With a big fuck-off tick on the front of the shirts? Fanfuckingtastic.

It better be a ridiculous amount of money.
