There's nothing to say that the new owners wouldn't want to keep Levy on as chairman though - he's got unrivalled experience - at least on a transition basis.
I worry about possible new ownership. We are really well run, without anything "spectacular" in terms of spending etc. but better the devil you know sometimes.

Interesting that BBC report that Liverpool are subject to a bid from China. Perhaps my info is wrong , perhaps both are happening (or neither) or BBC have it wrong.

So posts in here should be about what? Yes, the ITK about Kevin.

I'm watching.

Ooh, ooh, I've got it! It's a book, and a film.

"We need to talk about Kevin"

(Even though his name is Georges...:cautious:)

Told this morning this has been very complicated, but we expect to get this over the line very soon now. We need to get players out who don't want to leave. OM need to get players in but are potless. We don't want to let Clint go, but we do want GKN in so the balancing act on this deal has been incredibly difficult. There are so many clauses and stipulations due to trying to appease everyone involved, it has made this deal incredibly difficult. On the plus side he is in good shape, and hasn't just been sat on his arse for the last month ;) Will need time with the team but his general fitness is not a concern. As for Clint, my mate thinks it's only a loan but says that is not something he has heard diffinitively. We are trying hard to get others out and if we do there is a possobility to get another in, but as things stand it is looking very unlikely.

Good news!

Fast track Kev so that he's getting up to speed for after the Int break. I'm sure there still will be plenty of players not going.

Wonder how serious it is, or if its just an enquiry..

Anyone here still holding onto any THFC stock?

I was contacted last week. Pointless of them as they need to get hold of ENICs shares. They won't get anywhere trying to mop up small share holdings.

We're not going to be taken over. I just don't see who will benefit from it. Joe is on his last legs and has plenty of money and Levy is a genuine fan and is relatively young for a chairman. I really don't see the ownership changing hands until Levy is a lot older.

Although I agree with this, I think they'd sell for silly money, failing that they'll sell when their investment is peaking, which definitely isn't yet.

Then why are they not spending some of these billions on getting us to the title??

The truth is Lewis and Levy are milking Spurs for every penny, making the club pay for a 500m asset out of the operational in- and outgoings. When it's finished the value of their shares will have increased enormously without it having cost them a penny, and they'll happily pocket the windfall. Lewis and Levy are Spurs fans, but only because of what the club is doing for them financially.

I personally can't wait for the club to be taken over by people who actually want to win things instead of lining their pockets at the club's expense...

Presumably it would make you happy if the club was being run at a loss each year and Lewis and Levy were losing money on their investment.
