I'm not so concerned.
The PL is cash rich, and close of the window always brings out the panic buys.
Chadli is a proven goalscorer from attacking midfield. Bentaleb was highly rated only 12 months ago, and it's just a injury and fallout that have prompted his current availability.

Why?..he seemed quite willing to take a hit last summer when we had a clear out.
Don't get me wrong, we won't be getting our pants pulled down but as long as the offers are somewhere close I think they'll both be off.

I tend to agree. Last summer was the first time I can remember Levy seemingly realise that a player that isn't in the managers plans is of little use hanging around and it certainly won't help their value.

I'm sure he'll do everything in his power to get top dollar, but the value of squad unity has been made very clear by the manager, so I'm hopeful that we won't have a Bentley/Jenas type situation.

However I suppose if either end up being a loan due to unmatched valuations or lack of interest (Fazio) then that could scupper the finances for a 'proper signing'?

At this point I am very dubious if we will manage to sell Chadli and Nabil. Not because we won't get offers for ether, but rather those offers won't be in line with Levy's valuation.

Can see one or both being last day loans out

Is Gards still considered ITK in regards to his posts being put in here?

Gards ‏@Gards44 16h16 hours ago
as always! It's never been on the cards! Oliver Burke, he is the one! Tough to get though but been watching him for a while!!

Calls the Yarmolenko rumour: Utter Rubbish

Please delete if Gards isn't still held in a high esteem and accept my apologies...

I watched the TV game between Brighton vs Forest 2 weeks back. Burke was the standout Forest player that day. Tall winger who is super quick and he runs well with the ball. Forest lost the game 3-0 but he looked so good. He had couple of one on ones but couldn't finish.

He is made for PL. If this ITK is true, hope we sign him.

Can't see us getting nkoudou and this kid, both wingers in the young up and coming bracket and we don't really play with wingers.
One of them as a game changer from the bench to start with would be a good option but buying both would be a waste of a squad place

As a badass businessman, one would think that Daniel would understand the time value of money. Get assets off your books as the market is not always optimistic (Brexit anyone?) Letting a player sit and rot is depreciation brother!

I'll be happy enough with that.
New Keeper. Lopez.
New AM that offers an alternative to what we have. Nkoudou.
Guesswork, but 3rd signing may be the previously talked about (ITK30 & 31), plus another ITK snippet I saw somewhere that doesn't appear on the RO thread, (not strictly an AM, but more AM/CM), perhaps Kovacic or similar? I quite like Brozovic for the same role, but he doesn't fit in with the Spanish based theme.

Reminds me of 321 with Ted Rodgers. .

It's not only up to him.

We've had a few clubs who've snaffled up our squad players before, but I'd doubt Chadli and Bentaleb would want to go there, so they'll obviously have a big say in the matter..

I would imagine if any business is to be done its likely a last day or two scramble for nkoudou and that will probably be that.
Really cant see us getting anyone else in, the club seem content to stick with what they have although Im not in agreement with it will have to see how it pans out.

Neither of them would take up a squad place, they are too young to be registered.

Oh, I know that, just the face of decision makers, so I call him out. But for all parties involved. Cash out when the timing is right. WBA can attest to that.

But the players are the ones that make the final decision not Levy. You have to remember this is not some market place butcher chucking chicken drumsticks into a carrier bag, who just keeps dropping the price until there is a taker. These players have long contracts, and if they(or their agents) decide they don't want to make a certain move then they won't! Levy dropping the price won't make a jot of difference to the player himself if he doesn't want to make the move.

All very true but if Levy drops the price it might attract more bidders and increase the chance of one turning up that the player does fancy.

But the club policy towards these players does seem to have changed under Poch though.

Now they are publicly told they aren't part of the plan, they don't see any game time, and some have been sent off to train with the u21's.
I don't believe any of our current fringe players would happily rot in the reserves/u21's rather than move on and, come the end of the window, may lower their expectations accordingly to stop their careers going backwards.

One of the benefits of prioritising attitude in a player is we don't end up with any Bentleys or Adebayors and if they are not playing they will go (although Chadli, Bentaleb, and Carroll etc will probably now prove me wrong).

ali z : Dragons info is spot on all there are others we will try and shift.

Cheers for posting!!

Interesting , think the proper player means an established player, big-ish/decent name, expereienced also, therefore no young'un, someone straight into the fold for example.
