Jan only has two seasons? He could go on forever the classy bastard. I don't want to ever think about selling him or him leaving so can the latest hertyid post pls be deleted and wiped from the history books?
Don't worry dude. I reckon there's a good 3 or 4 seasons left in Jan.

Interesting, future replacements, or more just stocking up for playing 3 at the back? I'd say more the latter, it's not like Jan and Toby are hitting 35/36. Those two could still play at the top level for years to come yet.

If Martial can be done for anything near what United initially paid for him, then he should be a no brainer.

Yesterday Igijedi replied this when asked why we didn't announce Sanchez with Rose googling him.

We planned to do it but…

There's definitely something in that I think but it just got passed by cos we had so much to talk about. Maybe Rose is on the way out this window (as JJ said was possible) and we know it's not Chelsea, which leaves manure ....and Martial :)

Would we be happy to see both the (arguably) best full-backs in the league leave in the same window?! I would love martial, don't get me wrong, I think he'd be absolutely perfect for us and I could see him being in the world class bracket within 2 seasons under Poch, but I'd feel fairly uneasy about losing both rose and walker to rivals... I'd want another strong left back signed to soften the blow.

Also suggests Dier's days as CB are over. Once Sanchez gets used to PL,Dier will be played exclusively as a midfielder

True but if Sanchez is a beast it gives Spurs an opportunity to replace Jan/Toby and still get a decent transfer out of them in a year or two.

Reckon Levy has an eye on getting a few quid out of them if Foyth ITK is bang on.

I'm not entirely convinced the goalkeepers included! Sanchez Barkley Foyth and attacker Poch wants!
That's convenient but I'm sure Poch will be including him...unless this 'game changer' was out of the blue and could mean 5 in.

Wouldn't sacrifice Rose for Martial. The former absolutely crucial to our play and an absolute starter, and the latter competing for a place in the starting XI. Martial would be amazing, but not if it costs us Rose. An outright buy would be out of this world (as ITK suggests, would never have thought possible)

That's what I was thinking and with Barkley seeming to be nailed on where's the 'game changer'? Unless gazza isn't one of the 4.

Or maybe Barkley isn't one of the 4, more likely.

His latest injury which is going to keep him out for 3 months could well mean we'll wait until January, when he'll be cheaper anyway.

No point signing him now and paying him over a million to sit on the bench when we don't know how he's going to be looking post-injury.

All possibilities. Whilst there is merit to selling a player at their peak, its probably best IF they want to go.

If they want to stay we should be keeping this team together for as long as possible.

We've had ITK saying Toby has signed a contract extension and will be announced after window closes.

That said we're probably keeping that on the back burner when this game changer falls through and we need to lift the masses!

Yeah hear you man. But definitely think Poch has the ruthless streak similar to fergie if you cross him you leave.

His track record would suggest otherwise

When has he ever strengthened a direct rival for the title?

And don't say when he sold Mata to Man U - that was in the Jan transfer window in Moyes first season when it was clear they were a shambles and no threat.

Does Foyth count as one of the 4? As it stands, we have Sanchez and potentially Foyth. Barkley has looked the most likely all summer, now martial being talked about? If martial joins, we probably sell rose, which means we also have to sign RS. Then there's also aurier who we've been inderectly linked with (JJ's likes), and the 3rd choice GK. No way we sign 6 more players, not in under 2 weeks

I'm sure we've had previous ITK that neither of Gazza and Foyth are part of the 4. Gazza is an understudy to Lloris and Vorm whereas JJ? stated Foyth would go into the development squad.

Agreed however if he think he is strengthening his team more and also weakening ours ...
