I'm reading this as Ali Z believing it will be Barkley and a RB - didn't he say "no" to a wide forward? - whilst JJ and others think we have a shout of adding a wide forward on top of that

JJ and others have alluded to us actively pursuing a pacy forward whereas Ali Z has previously dismissed a pacy forward, Ali also not so long ago said we'd making signings but they would be from the bargain basement... this has since been contradicted by the record Sanchez signing. Granted things change but it shows the ITK's clearly have contacts at different levels within the club and associated parties.

If there is one more coming in addition to Foyth, Gazzaniga and Barkley, the priority is a forward not a full back IMO.

Hercules just said "Don't just focus on Martial is my advice" in the Martial thread so hard to know if the game changer is Martial. If ManU bring someone else big in then maybe Martial is suddenly available and Spurs are just doing their due diligence and planning in case that happens.

I think we all, or at least most mistook the game changer part of the info. I now think it meant that things had changed and we were back in driving seat and likely to finish the deal quick. This all points to Foyth.

There's absolutely nothing to suggest this is the case. Unless Foyth became a forward over night.

buy RS
swap rose for martial

benefits us more overall.

the only other better situation is if they allow us to buy martial , which is pretty much impossible imo
