What deal ?
I had a lovely Cornetto yesterday & was thinking how nice is ....

Cornetto were originally manufactured in Naples- maybe nothing, but maybe a clue?

JJ winked after that tweet so it's definitely a clue. My guess is Cornetto is the team (Napoli) and the Italian flag is the player's nationality. My best guess, Insigne?

Though they spent £17M on a CB so could be selling one of theirs (cue the Chiriches jokes)...Koulibaly?

Does anybody really believe that we will just bank the £80m we received for Bentaleb, Carrol, Fazio, Njie and Walker and will not bring anybody in? I have faith in Poch as he knows our youngsters better than anyone but it's a stretch to believe that we can compete for the title again with just 'promising' youngsters boosting the squad imo.

No I don't believe we will do that.

Just because one ITK thinks nothing much will happen doesn't mean much really, could just mean his source/s aren't in the loop right now.

All this demanding we spend money on new players is all a bit strange as well, I'd have no problem with that money going towards new contracts for HK,Dele,Toby etc to keep them happy and here for a few more years....keeping this team together is more important than risky new signings for me.

Think I have to clear up something about "cornetto". When you "have a cornetto", you are eating a sweet pastry with your coffee in the morning. Such a cornetto originated in Venice several hundred years ago, and is now common all over Italy. A few places in north, they call it a "brioche", but it is a cornetto.

The "cornetto" (portafortuna) that is affiliated with Naples specifically is not edible. It's a good luck charm or something to keep away bad spirits, and looks like a red chili.

I'm glad I could help with some Italian lessons. Now I'm going to have my breakfast, a cornetto.

Conflicting ITK, hertyid saying it's going to be quiet, others saying Barkley is moving closer, and then the whole Italian saga.
Going to be a decisive week or so, since Poch is rumoured to want players in asap for a decent preseason and ahead of going away. Could just be ITK being perceived differently based on the part of the chain their source is in.
