We never prioritise getting players in before the season starts, don't expect that to change because of one or two injuries

Nothing personal YS, but I cannot have that whatsoever. It's not true.

Trippier, Son, Davies, Toby, Dier, Wanyama, Dele are all first team and coveted.

There's a clear player in Barkley, and the coach coaches it out of him. ITK says Poch wants Barkley. That is an ability to pick a player with potential.
Dani Osvaldo, Moussa Sissoko, Federico Fazio.

Not meaning to go against you, but Alli was a Pleat suggested signing. In fact he demanded the club sign him.

Every signing goes through Pochettino. Pointless saying some were his and some weren't. He could've vetoed Dele if he wanted.

As others have already pointed out no manager has a 100% hit rate on purchases. Not to mention that not all our purchases would have been Pochettino's first choice.

Pochettino's ability to pick a player has been of concern since he was at Southampton.

.
Listen, Signor Pochettino has loads of strengths, he grew immensely over the last 12 months, and we all agree he deserves support.

That doesn't mean that we must be blind.

Under Pochettino, the club has signed a few really good players, some quite acceptable players, and plenty of unacceptable signings. We must be allowed to say that this is a definite area of great possible improvements.

Now, some posters may state that every club makes wrong signings. But Pochettino himself has stated that we must be smarter than other clubs at transfers. So whatever errors other clubs make, they are not an excuse for us to not talk about the improvement potential in transfer dealings.

This is the 4th(!) summer TW during Pochettino's reign. It's time to get transfer savvy. And it's ok to say that, without being ousted as unsupportive.

OK, give an example of a manager in the history of football who's had a 100% hit rate on buying players!!! Actually, don't bother coz there ain't one!!

This probably isn't the place to debate this but some more than others. I don't want to provide amunition to the previous statement, but sometimes there is not a lot that a manager does when agreeing to a signing, but other times they do a heck of a lot. And sometimes they do something in between. Whilst you are correct, I think it's equally fair to say in some cases the manager agrees to the suggestions from scouts, directors etc so they shouldn't take all the plaudits for it. Likewise they shouldn't get the grief for those that don't go well. However in MS case it is well known this was a MP suggestion clearly. I'm just pointing out it's not well defined and you should take each case on its own merits, which is impossible to do as often we don't know the full details. It's a pointless debate essentially.

So the point you are making = Poch doesn't get every transfer correct. There have been some poor poor buys.

I have to agree. But as does every manager in the history of football!

But I bet you one thing.... that ever single person on this forum would have gotten a lot more transfers wrong in comparison to Poch.

My point = regardless of Poch getting some wrong, he's got a lot right and we should trust his judgement above our own. Until his proven otherwise.

Alex Ferguson, The greatest manager of all time got it wrong from time to time. Djemba Djemba and Kleberson to name just a couple.

As others have already pointed out no manager has a 100% hit rate on purchases. Not to mention that not all our purchases would have been Pochettino's first choice.

This holds no importance for Tottenham. Pochettino has said we must be smarter than other clubs at transfers. So actually, when other clubs make poor signings, that's an opportunity for us to improve even more through our choice, not an excuse for reckless and poorly thought through decisions.

I don't know about you, but I for one am sick and tired of seeing time and money being spent to carry out signings that ends up hardly playing and gets shipped out after twelve months. It is so wasteful, so counterproductive, that I point to it as a major reason for why the clubs has not won a trophy under Pochettino yet.
