lvg has said manure want to add a dm, also doubt mourinho would allow the scum a free run at him. wonder if carrick might be an option if schneiderlin goes north?

I don't believe that Schneiderlin will sign for us.

But, it is worth noting that everyone at Spurs talks about CL as if we're kind of in it. He may well have the impression that SPurs are, in a way, a CL side or at least that it won't be long until we're finishing in the top four regularly - hell, that he'll be the "missing piece of the jigsaw". At Saints, even with him that'll never happen.

Call it delusional (I do), but reading MS's quotes, he may think that by signing for Spurs he is actually joining a CL side. From talking to Levy, Poch, Mitchell, etc, you would get that impression. Weirdos.
The greatest trick that Daniel Levy ever played is convincing the world that Spurs are a CL side.

back to trippier a little ... maybe also because we know that walker is starting to develop injuries that will (a) not see him back at his best (b) won't complete a full season (c) possibly go down the sandro / dembele route?

Probably not RO worthy but JJ says "I bet we get [Trippier] whereas [Schneiderlin] is dodgy!"

and when asked if we had any CMs lined up "too early to comment on who".

Not sold on Ings... I know most are keen but I don't really get the hype. Don't get me wrong, he a good player but I just don't really see him being a significant step up. I'm much more for us signing two or three starters rather than bolstering the squad.... we have plenty of squad players but not enough players who truly command their position.
We don't have the funds or the ability to buy an absolute class proven striker, nor do we need to get someone to play in front of Kane. Ings is exactly what we could use. Speedy, driven, and can fit the team ethos.

Comments like this really annoy me, as they are blatantly inaccurate from a semantic perspective. We have both the funds and ability (Soldado, anyone), however we choose not to, for reasons that are many, but are based around the ongoing financial stability of the club.

It could only happen to us. Chase a player for 2 years, finally agree a fee with the club and for the player to reject us. #TheTottenhamWay

If we ended up with...

Wimmer
Shawcross/A.Williams
Trippier
Schneiderlin/Kondogbia
Mirallas (Exch. For Lennon)
Salvio
Ings
Beauvue/Martial

And sold...

Yedlin (Loan to Brmth or Norwich)
Chiriches
Kaboul
Fazio (Potentially)
Carrol
Holtby
Paulinho
Dembele/Stambouli (One or other)
Capoue
Lennon
Soldado
Adebayor (Loan, as sale looks impossible)

If we had a window even similar to this at all, I would be rather happy...

Ings is going elsewhere.....

Scousers or Utd would be the obvious options and the big name draw for him. With Balotelli and Lambert sure to go, and Sturidge's injury record, he'd probably get a lot of game time at Liverpool as well as a much bigger wage than Spurs would likely offer him.

Would like to see us add another stiker thoough and would be happy with any of the young English contingent of Berahino, Ings or Charlie Austin.

How about the Norwich lad?
Would rather Ings & Berahino.
Benteke would have been the best but...

Re the CL comments - We have spent a year or more chasing MS, if he had absolutely no interest in us am sure his agent would have informed us to stop wasting our time, so the fact we are still actively chasing him suggests we must have some sort of encouragement from him/his people, that he is open to a deal
