All the relevant clubs and agents know what players are available at a given time, especially if the ITK's know.

I think the Willian debacle caused the club to receive pelters so I think the secrecy is to protect the club from this scenario as opposed to any deal being lost.

Not sure that was the feedback we got at the time, and is also against the logic of ITKs sometimes not wanting info they supply in the Read Only section.

Could be anyone to be honest. Last year JJ himself described GNK as a really good player so could well be a punt on a Simeone style player that our scouting network feels bring something we need or something.

I would love it to be a more established player though. Someone that comes in and lift the expectations of both fans and players!

A lot of this is often opinion of ITK that the incoming is exciting etc, but as with all things sometimes it turns out to be underwhelming.
The ITK has to be treated as a positive with the club getting nearer to signing someone soon as it's still early, but probably not in time for the first game of the season.

very unlikely... because thfc don't spend big money unless in panic of course, but that put them off, likely well sign two low level players e.g [potential like we have done previously

No, but let's not start another spending debate or a discussion about Morata.

I think any player would be exciting right now even Signing Clinton N'jie would excite some right now.

My take is that it's either a big marquee signing to come in and hit the ground running, or else a player of such huge potential that it'll be seen as a big success for us.
Either way, I don't see it being any of the names bandied round so freely by the media, or else why would nothing GF and JJ be sworn to secrecy. If it's a player so openly in the public domain, there's nothing to be gained from their silence, so I'm guessing it's a signing that's so far gone under the radar a bit in the media, a nice little left field addition.
