I think the plan before the window would of originally been Fazio and Townsend out with Berahino in for the zero net spend. With Berahino being talked up on sky as 24-25 million we need to move Fazio on for 13m. Hence this won't happen and I'll plump for Moussa Dembele from Fulham and some money saved for the summer or some Dele Alli style sign and returns till the summer.

There's no way we'll be spending 20+ million on berahino today, even if they did seem willing to sell. I could see potentially us agreeing to the dembele deal with a loan back- with half an eye on the plan for the summer window. I can't really see anything other than that: no panic buys, it's just not Poch's style. I genuinely believe he is happy with the squad and will not bring in short-term solutions, regardless of how the fans feel. I think it's going to be one of the quietest deadline for us in a good while...

I have to say, if relations were fractious, then I see this as most others do, quite hard to believe.

Without meaning to read too much into it, it's difficult not to see this as some kind of sweetener - certainly goes a way to say relationships haven't broken completely down at the highest level if they've seen this through, so maybe there is some movement.

However, this could be a great move for Pritchard - prem experience if he can get into team, as he was unlucky with his early season injury and the form of others in those attacking positions.
