I think JJ's cautious answer suggests that nothing's gone far yet, but we are quite interested. Nevertheless, JJ dismissed the Berahino stuff before, but something must have changed, and it could well be the change in agent.

In fact, Berahino has a better record than Kane for the U21s! Berahino has scored 10 in 11 games, while Kane has 'only' scored 8 in 14 games.

What boxes does he tick ? He's not the type to play the drop deep, hold up, lone 9 like Kane does in Poch's system. He's not a wide forward. His all round play is pretty one dimensional. He's basically Defoe with 3 more touches a game and 3 less offsides.
The only box I see him ticking is the one many of our targets this summer seem to be ticking. The half decent but limited box. And again, I think we players here - even Chadli could play the role better and has a similar scoring record per 90 min - who can fill the remit better.

Liking the Jasper news. If it's Villa buying I reckon the Ade fee might be more than we think - possibly even 8-10m. Villa are so poorly run, so naive. Owners just don't know what they're doing and can't compete in the PL sharktank - especially when Timmy's unhappy and begging for signings. Made the classic transfer error of letting it be widely known their star player was going for a huge sum before lining up replacements (see also: Liverpool FC). Levy's momma di'int raise no fool.
