I think I have to remind you what club you are supporting.
There is no way in all the galaxies that there is even one world in which there is a Tottenham which would sign Barkley AND King/Mahrez. We are talking about a list of players, out of which only one will be signed.

It's unlikely I agree but not impossible.

I would expect Sissoko to leave, and I wouldn't be surprised if N'Koudou is loaned out somewhere, which means we could do with a couple of additional attacking options.

We've got £45m to spend from Walker, and then hopefully a bit of money from Sissoko and N'Jie.

So that doesn't leave a huge gap in funds if we want to spend £70-80m on two attacking players. Of course that assumes we're not buying a right-back, but we shall see.

I agree that it's unlikely we'll be seeing a large net-outlay this window, but we did bring in three multi-million pound players last window so I think it's too early to say with any certainty that we won't bag a couple this Summer.

A DM, an AM, a Striker. We buy max 1 for each position we desperately need, and more often than not none for the positions we'd like to buy for but where we don't feel the same level of desperation. It's plausible that we buy several expensive players, but it is impossible that we'd buy Barkley AND Mahrez. It will be one, or as likely, none. Let's not kid our selves.

The Marcus chat is a load of bullshit! He still has 1 more year on his contract and he knows what work needs to be put in... unfortunately injuries haven't helped and breaking into our first team squad is almost impossible these days. Mahrez has had discipline issues, lateness etc, so while talented, I can't see him fitting in easily to the Poch style.

Not sure the financials stack up around Mahrez, but would love that signing. Gives us something different to what we have.

Missed the end of yesterday's thread so not sure what the latest on Barkley is, but Mahrez, Barkley and a new RB would IMO be a great window.

Course saying all that, at this point, not sure any of those will happen!

Mahrez just seems to me like one of those players that thrives on the big occasions. He was excellent all season when they won the league and lost interest when they were struggling last season, yet he still showed up during the big games and in the CL

When Mahrez is interested he's one of the best players in the Premiership. When he isn't he's one of the worst. It's a huge gamble with an awful lot dependent on Poch to bring out the Mahrez rather than the Mahrez.

It would be a fun signing though .

We usually do at some point, but this by far the busiest part of the site.
