Ive had a bad feeling for a while now about this transfer window.
Levy seems to think he can and do what he wants without consequence and he probably could have with other managers as it wasnt really a big deal if they up and left but if he doesnt back Poch he'll have messed up badly.
Hes also getting at the stage now where hes on the back foot and clubs know it, if he wants big deals to go through he'll HAVE to pay up, i just hope his ego will let that happen.
Poch isnt some one who is going to be messed about, i could see he him literally walking the minute the transfer window closes if he doesnt get what he was promised, as well he should, hes been courted by some of the biggest clubs in europe and stayed put.
(i dont know any facts- these are my own butt hurt feelings)

Great news about son.

Difficult to comment further on the itk, pleasing as it always is to receive it. Our transfer business process just exhausts me, especially when it has the consistency of death and taxes.

Great news about Son. As for the more negative stuff, not too fussed really. Our first 14 or 15 are quality. Some act as though we have a bunch of duds occupying 1st team places or something. Yes we need to upgrade a few squad slots e.g. Sissoko, Llorente and I'm sure we'll do something to improve the squad come the end of the window.

Got excited after seeing 11 pages, maybe I’ll come back later... still a few weeks left of the window, fingers crossed we have something positive to make another 11 pages about.

Worried that CP chairman might be playing Levy - there's bad blood between them. DeLigt, Grealish & Martial would have been a good window. Grealish & Zaha is alright.

Good about Sonny.

Wow posted on page 3 just before 11 oclock now on page 11...Good news on Son.

Appreciate the Hercules info, if Zaha is Pochs man I believe we get him unless Palace start moving goalposts, with weeks to go I dont think the lets beat Dan stick should be out just yet

Come on it's 70 fucking million Pounds for fucking Zaha. It would be insanity if we end up paying more than half that. What an asset is worth to the owner is not necessarily what the asset is worth to the potential buyer.

You seriously wouldn't pay £36m for Zaha?! I can understand not paying £70m, and I don't think we would, but in the current market he's easily worth £50m+. I can't think of a better homegrown player in his position that'd be available for less.

We've also left it until there's 3 weeks left in the window, so Palace are in a huge position of strength with any transfer, regardless of market value. That's our fault, not theirs.

God, I hope Levy gets his thumb out of his arse and backs Poch like he said he would. If he fucks up now the fallout will be immense. Hope to God he hasn't made another 'Gentleman's agreement' like he did with Modric. Herc sounds pretty pissed off atm.

Surely even the most optimistic Spurs fans on here must be concerned about how the window is going.

People would be in fits if they'd been told that by nearly the end of July our only transfer activity would be slogging it out with a bankrupt villa to prise away Jack Grealish.

It seems so obvious that these contract announcements like Son have been held back for PR reasons to soften the blow of not getting in our targets.

We've failed yet again in getting our top target in Martial and all of a sudden we are back to Zaha. Tell me if Zaha was such a top target what on earth was stopping us doing a deal to sign him back in May or June.

It is really really worrying because if Poch is let down by Levy this summer, I fully expect him to be gone within another year or two.

Lets not forget Poch was quite clear in April he said publicly we needed to be brave, to take risks, and to step it up a level in our transfer business if we wanted to challenge for the title. (He didnt mention transfers explicitly) but it was obvious what he meant. He wasn't talking about selling merchandise at the club shop.

I sincerely hope Levy delivers Poch the players he really wants because if people think Poch isn't capable of sacking Spurs off they really are deluded.

Let's not even mention how well are rivals seem to be doing this window. Liverpool specifically.

Poch..."I turned down Real Madrid for this nickle and dime s##t."

Dissapointed by the Herc update to say the least.

Still hope with three weeks left of the window. Per Trix, we were always going to wait until the last week's of the window.

Players won’t come cos they want CL.
Players won’t come as our facilities aren’t good enough.
Players won’t come as they want to challenge for trophies.
Players won’t come cos they can go play in bigger stadiums.
Players won’t come cos we don’t pay the wages.

Hmm... We’ve ticked all those off that we’ve been told over the years, so with the new ITK, why are we still not able to sign the players we want?

Players won't come because Levy won't pay the going rate transfer fees.

This is all so foolish. We are melting down because Poch has a desperate desire for Zaha who plays in a position that Poch has shown time and again, doesnt have a role in this squad. Let that sink in a bit, SC.
Totally wrong. Zaha plays all across the front but seldom as an out and out winger. In Son’s position or on the right also.

Son signs till 2023, not sure how it fits in with his national service.

His previous contract was till 2020, if he has to do national service it will be between 2019-2021, so we are just protecting our asset. He will be 29 by 2021 and would be free to go anywhere without this new contract.

I'm hopeful though and confident that he won't do national service if he wins the gold medal with South Korea U23 in Asian Games, as they will be the strongest side by far as clubs aren't obliged to let their players go. South Korea are also expected to have Hee-Chan of Salzburg FC who is another good player so Son won't have to do it on his own.

The number of Football Managers on here are astounding. How do you lot manage your household budgets? :D

I need some washing powder and i dont care what it costs!!!
I don't care if its cheaper down the road, the extra 20 minutes on the line will make all the difference in the long run and more than compensate for the lack of dinner on the table!!

Masterstroke by Levy. Keeping the mob at bay by announcing Son's new contract after the ITK update by Hercules.

Maybe there IS a pattern emerging. Quick Herc! write something else thats not on the positive side and lets see what we get next :)
