What i'de like to know is, where's @igijedi, two new contracts and not a squeek?
He was cut out of the loop. Probably because our dear leader, Warwick Davis, was told of the lynch mob forming on SC and got these two announcements out on the hurry up in an attempt to quieten the seething mob.

Judging by the ITK’s, Zaha is the probably the last attacker who was high on Poch’s shortlist who we are still in for. Personally I can’t see the Zaha transfer going through as Palace will play hardball as he could be the difference between relegation and staying up.
IMO the scouts need to earn their money this transfer window as they haven’t brought in a good attacking player for 3 years. Will be tough though as there are few top quality attackers around at the moment who are available.

Martial and Pulisic being the other two? Agree with Tiger, for once, in that Lucas could still be anything- let's hope he is something. None of these three would go for less than 60m in this market, hence I think all this Levy must be brave stuff. Hardly his MO is it.

The scouts need to find the next Kante.

Ok I’ll bite, why not ?
I’m not Tiger, but it seems pretty obvious that history plays into it, many years of continued success gathering a large global following and bumper sponsor deals. See Man U the seasons Leicester and Chelsea won the PL.
Probably not for this thread anyway...

I think Palace end up taking a deal that gives them Sissoko as well as a one or two other players possibly on a permanent or loan with cash thrown in there as well.

I'm speculating here but surely if they could get their hands on one of KWP, Foyth, Carter-Vickers, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Edwards, Janssen or Llorente for a year, as well as one of those mentioned (ideally Sissoko as he's worth the most) on a permanent deal and some cash along the way they couldn't say no. Surely if we take Zaha off of them there's enough going on with our fringe players that could give them a fighting chance to stay up should they join them for a year on loan

We've got a lot of options we'd could explore if there asking price is higher than ours.

So Herc is saying Palace would only deal for Zaha if we send them players in return. Grey Fox is saying there's not much interest in the players we want to sell. Simple solution would be to offer Llorente, Sissoko and N'Koudou for Zaha and £. We get one of Poch's top targets and free up space for more incomings. Simple innit.

how can it not affect the transfer budget ? If you buy a house you have less money to spend than if you live with your parents. I know you have extra revenue and naming rights but there is no way it cant have a impact on spending.

Read where Trix quoted my post(y)

We don't need a marquee signing. We only need to keep our key players, which has been done.

Winning something? The LC or FAC will make no difference.

A tad contradictory, don't you think old chap?
There's absolutely no way we'll win the league or the CL by just keeping the current squad together with a swap around of squad players, it just won't happen. So, a so called marquee player, or two, is required.

obvious flaw= If Palace are also not interested in those players ( more than likely)

That is an NBA or MLB type deal, right there!
