Goat and JJ both posted since yesterday that MS and MM are both looking unlikely. Not impossible but it feels like the deals are dead

Okay, well let's just say then that we would be more likely to hit the ground running with MS than not.

As far as emotional transference is concerned, I always hear that kind of comment in relation to opinions that are not in line with "everything is awesome".

I see what you did there!

But in truth, if a person says I don't like this because I think he's a great player... Or whatever, then that's an opinion. It's the whole, The coach/player/chirpy/Doris must be really pissed off... shtick which is the emotional transference bit.

No. And when A&C returns he might get mad at us for the amount of Fazio talk in here rather than his thread. But in a recap, it probably has value as it seems to give more evidence of the ITK that MM very unlikely. It's one of those things that's worth a mention, but then any further discussion should be done in player thread.

Geezzz.... I just got home from a shit shift at work and fire up the laptop to see if itk could cheer me up. That was a mistake! Now I hear Vlad my be off too..... and Liverpool have had a £16 million bid accepted for Balotelli. Can my day get any worse

Think of the very real possibility that Balotetli can become Liverpool's 32 million pound liability. That'll make your day.

He's not ITK as in he doesn't get info from sources within the club probably. He still has friends that are journalists/involved in the media...

It's been out in the open for ages. Itk has hinted it's a problem between 3rd party and Villarreal. Are you saying we should throw in another 5-10 million to pay for their problems? If so, what happens then? Let's be frank even if he signed MM, MS and Depay we'd still be behind at least 3 teams in squad quality and would struggle to get top 4. Would that then be deemed as a failure? We'd have more debt and less equity for the stadium and still unlikely to be seen as a more attractive partner for commerical rights without CL.

We need to continue our plan of steady and organic growth. We struck gold with the model in recent years and have made some huge revenues to improve the clubs infrastructure. We haven't been able to push on because our rivals have had more funds to strengthen swell.

All we should be looking to do with the playing staff is improve the first 11, but to achieve this we need to lose 5-6 squad players. The selling of our players is a problem so we can't sign anyone at the minute - unfortunately it is sit and wait until that happens and then we can sign some real quality investments. All we can hope is that it happens this window.

Whilst I understand all your points, I don't necessarily agree with the pert I have bolded. It would be a very strong team, in my opinion.

Didn't seem harsh to me. He was asking for it. Although, I should probably have been banned for doing similar in the past .
