So, the latest ITK from Trix...why would Villa want a perm when they can just take Ade on loan for a year? He sees out his contract with us and then is a free agent. Then Villa sign him or don't. Surely the only party that would want to make it a perm in Jan is us in order to get a few bob? I think Villa would be idiots if they angled for a perm.....but then they did hire Sherwood, so who knows!

But if he plays well on loan, he may get better offers elsewhere at the end of the season. Tim is obviously telling Randy ... "look how I got him playing at Spurs, imagine what he'd do here".

Let's hope the snake can tempt Eve again.

I suspect we've got a year option on Ade too. So if we plays well at Villa, we'll extend his contract and sell him to someone like Monaco next summer.

Why do we need to sell a player who won't play for us again and likely to not even get a squad number, in order to buy someone else? So If ads doesn't leave we are screwed? We are miles behind the other top team, even pool

I head same lines last year & we still finished ahead of Pool. Don't forget that Pool have lost two of their best players and we have lost none.
People need to have patience.

Agree, but we've only really bought one first team starter so far, and Liverpool have made some very good buys

£5m a year wages and the 25-man (17 O/S players) squad limit.

Doesn't matter.Nothing changes with that arrogant prick managing them.
Anyway, back to the thread...

Hoping for some good ITKs on MF & FW
"jobdone, post: 4688641, member: 28378"]I think it doesn't help with the season starting so early everything feels a bit closer. Obviously transfer window doesn't close for over a month but it feels like we should be getting stuff done with season starting in 2 1/2 weeks.

Thats understandable but I think the only position that needs immediate attention is midfield and even then we have cover if need be.
Personally I'd prefer to wait for the right player and if that doesn't happen just go with what we've got.
Why doesn't our forward line merit immediate action? I don't get it there seems to be a lot of complacency here on SC in that regard. What happens if Kane doesn't have another wonder season or God forbid break a leg? Ade is gone regardless of if he actually goes or not and Soldado if he stays can't score for us. Goals is one area you can't fuck about, CM and DM I'm ok with trusting our youth to an extent and we have cover there however up top do we have anyone at all ready to step in?

The best thing about all the outgoings isn't the outgoings themselves.

It is the board backing the manager, singing from the same hymn sheet.

In turn it makes the squad easier to manage and motivate because the Poch will not be undermined.

This line has been trotted out for years amongst the "all is great" Spurs fans for the last two decades or so who, IMO have no ambition! When is this patience going to return dividends?

We're just excited that yet another academy product is going to be integrated into the 1st team that's all and it's added further proof that all our hard work we've put into the academy over the last decade is coming to fruition, especially with pritchard as he has shown a lot of promise from a young age. (y)

Looking forward to seeing Pritchard and Alli being involved this year : )

Random. My brother is in NY and so is PSG. He walked by Rabiot today. Told him he should sign for Spurs. He kept walking. My brother said there was a 50% chance he didn't understand him. So Rabiot may or may not speak English. Or he was terrified of a ginger approaching him.

Liverpool are playing the short game, how much has brenden 'im a brilliant coach' Rodgers spent since taking charge? How many hundreds of millions? And they finished higher than us how many times? Liverpool at the moment have backers who are trying to chase a loss and still think the Suarez tilt at the title puts them up there. It didn't. We will underspend them by £80m this summer and still finish higher by the end of the season. I'm as confident of that as I am of mixed reviews and a banning from this thread. But it's worth it

Interesting that Lloris has said one more year and Utd (I believe) mentioned De Gea staying this season (and allegedly joining Madrid on a free)...
