The is no way he can think if he fucks this up and results in Poch leaving, he will have anything less than a total fan revolt on his hands

So despite everything that the club (Inc DL) have done in recent years, including consistently giving our best new deals, we're going to start slagging them off just because no one wants to buy the dogshit we're hoping to sell....

In recent years a good window was not losing our best - but now suddenly it's a disaster because we can't convince someone to buy players we don't play anyway?? :bored:

At least we won’t ‘do a Leeds’, the grass isn’t greener and we’ve been careful what we wish for.

But seriously, I’m still going to wait until the window closes before I start on Levy and the BSoDL. He might still surprise you.

Worried this could be the season it all falls apart. Potentially disgruntled managed, squad players knowing they arent wanted, first teamers knackered after the WC and very few fresh new faces in the squad. I expect we'll see Toby out last minute with JG and 1 other in with roughly £0 net spend. I understand we are run in a financially stable way but we are now one of the richest clubs on the planet, so i can't see how GKN and Janssens wages are going to cripple us. We simply have to take a few risks otherwise i fear its bye bye Poch, Kane, Eriksen, hello Thursday nights hosted by F.C Sheriff.

I remember thinking at the time that the window closing early would be bad news for us, mainly because of the shit in our squad and Levy’s brinkmanship.

Then someone on here told me that Levy actually voted for it, and I couldn’t believe it!

So shortsighted (and no, that isn’t a joke about him being a speccy little mole). I mean, talk about turkeys voting for Christmas!

Bald little speccy turkeys.

Tbf, doing a "West Ham" is worse - selling your stadium and then still getting a massive overdraft just to sign someone!

levy is a great business man who can steady middle tier teams and elevate them to above their level, because hes a business man who makes decision based on "not losing". but he will never take us to the top tier because theres a difference between playing to win and playing not to lose. im not saying its wrong to play the not lose game, because its your job to make sure the company is making a profit. but if i was a manager im looking to win, and im sorry but if i was poch, i will leave

I'm a very big fan of all ITKs and appreciate their info but Trix is the only one that comes across very level headed when delivering his info.

Don’t know why the PL clubs agreed to move the deadline forward when the others leagues weren’t doing the same.

It might make footballing sense to have a ‘settled’ squad before the first game, but economically it’s stupid. Other leagues can bid for PL players without the worry of the flush PL clubs upping the price.

I believe various ITKs have said contracts for Dele, Hugo, Eriksen, etc are basically done but not announced. Curious if they are really done or if the deadwood is affecting these as well. I would hope not but things don’t sound great. Of course they could be holding these back too as a backup PR plan in the case of no new transfer signings.

I think we'll get some loans done. If we don't we have to keep what we've got, which isn't the worst place to be.

I assume we have told the players we want out that they can leave, so WTF are their agents doing. If i was a player faced with no game time i would want my agent working for me. They must be shit agents because every other agent is linking their players with clubs to drum up interest. If we have to pay them to go, ie subsidise their wages, so be it.

I, for one, am very much looking forward to Daniel's yearly "window wrap" once the transfer window closes in a couple of weeks

When was this? I can't see anything in the RO about it.
I don't think it went In the RO. It was on 12th July. Late on. Check the archive for July 11th's thread. Right at the end. HY said

"We've got people in Asia the next two weeks. Partly transfer related. Partly naming rights. Sounds like things are on the move."
