Ps Its not about the money its squad numbers and thats the last time I state that.

Appreciate the info but if it wasn't about the money to at least some degree we would be able to get the players in that we need and then sort the outgoings after, given that we've got three weeks longer to do that and if money isn't an issue can loan players out if necessary.

Haven't been here in a while, but thought I would offer my thoughts.

Our whole transfer window effectiveness and potency is being held up by the inaility to shift certain players out of the club.

Yet, it's the very same players we have ended up buying in 'desperate and last-gasp panic buying' in previous windows that we can't now shift.

What does this show us?

1) Our transfer window strategy is poor, ineffective and too 'reactive' versus 'proactive'.
2) The packages and wages we offer to desperate last-gasp transfers are disproportionate, inflated and makes them impossible to shift if the gamble doesn't pay off.
3) Levy's 'cunningness' (that used to be cute) has now become easy to read by other clubs and plays against us.
4) Our transfer strategy is ill-thought-out and out of date.
5) As a club, we are poor at learning and evolving, to stay one step ahead of our competitors.
6) We are easy to read.
7) Levy, feeling guilty in his ineffectiveness at the end of the trasnfer window, makes poor, impulsive decisions to try and grab favour with supporters at the end of the window.
8) We end up back at point 1.

If Levy (who is obviously a good 'business' person) can't see this cyclical pattern of dysfunctional behaviour...then he needs to bring in a strategist to work alongside him...who can provide alternative points of view, fresh strategies and different perspectives.

I'm sure Levy knows Einstein's Law of Insanity. I just can't comprehend how he can allow his own stubbornness to keep playing out a failed transfer window strategy over...and over...and over...again.

Top tip for next season...do things completely differently...and surprise the market.
A fresh approach (whatever that might look like).
And stop taking on driftwood to appease fans in the dying moments of the transfer window...because you won't be able to shift them later down the line!!!
Then we end up back at the beginning of the whole fucked-up loop!!

Over and out.

In a nutshell.

Just cause money 'Isn't an issue' we still don't want to be wasting it or throwing it away. Sounds like the plan was (and still is) to try and get good deals for our outgoings whilst bringing in new players. The outgoing hasn't gone to plan so now we're weighing up how much of a loss we can take/are open to taking on them going by ITK.

So it's not about money in a sense that we have the funds to bring in players and pay their wages if I've been reading the ITK right. Still doesn't mean we can just let 6 squad players go for next to nothing.

I'm sure that was the plan but Levy has a history of pricing players out of moves, as someone else said he seems to expect 2018 prices + a Levy premium on outgoings but only wants to pay 2008 prices on incomings, you can't have it both ways. The issue is that if we wait to shift players before we buy we are going to run out of time pretty quickly and miss out on our targets (if we haven't already) and there will be serious ramifications to that. No one is saying let them go for next to nothing but if we want to get our targets we may have to take the small risk that we end up selling some for less than Levy wants after 9 August or if not letting at least a couple go out on loan.

I've recently read The Glory Game...now I'm expecting Grealish to be our only summer signing and his hair to fall out and/or turn weird like Ralph Coates.

Well, no you didn't and yes you can voice your concerns and nobody told you otherwise but I'm also at liberty to call your post a tantrum.
Well, Herc posted his ‘positive’ message at 15:59 & I posted my ‘tantrum’ at 16:00 so the likelihood is we were typing at same time...not that it’s relevant or that anyone cares to be honest. We all have opinions whether it be negative or positive & shouldn’t be ridiculed for it (y)

After I have picked up all your toys thrown from your prams and if I survive cutting my wrists, I'm going to support Fulham, because we are doomed I tell you DOOMED.

FFS Lets see how this pans out, yes I was told we would get at least one in earlier, but I am still optimistic. A week in football can see a completely different scene.

It’s not about being doomed, we have a great squad no question and a great manager and therein lies the problem. It has taken a hell of a long time to get to where we are and given Poch’s outburst at the end of the season it is clear that he won’t stick around if we do not change our ways. He can not do much more, the rest is up to the Levy. He has stated a number of times he wants players in early. Is it really impossible to do that? We are not talking 10 players, just 1-2 early and maybe a couple at the end to bolster the squad. Poch has worked his magic, the transfer window is where Levy needs to.

Thanks GF. As always appreciated. I'm sure that there will be a crowd who choose to ignore your info and go on their merry ranting ways.

Popped in for a look and can’t belive the whiney comments. The sense of entitlement is ridiculous. I am sure the club is working hard on recruitment and sales. We have retained key players and have a new stadium.

Reading some of these comments would make you think we are Aston Villa.
