If he is then massive questions have to be asked of his effectiveness as chairman. As it stands he's already blown the chance to make a statement and show ambition and he's now in the firefighting zone, so I think whatever happens in the next week will either define him or completely undermine his credibility in the eyes of the fans.

Not to mention this...

"One that Daniel has let everyone down with the lack of investment so far..."

Oh brilliant, waiting until the last possible fucking second again.

If we get burnt again this fucking window, Levy should be accountable.

As for Modders, I'm fucking sick of this now. Sell him abroad, to anyone that will pay £35m+, if he doesn't want to play for us, fuck him. No one is bigger than the club.

Whooooooa......take a sec....ok, now deep breathe......and exahale.

Think these transfer windows may be getting to you!

Very sensible update from POTL. Clearly assuming that Ade and Lass will still happen, so good news there even though he like everyone else jumped the gun a bit initially.

Delighted with the news about Sandro.

Hope we've all booked the 31st off work? I'm actually working all evening that day ... on a transfer deadline day special broadcast on Norways Premier League channel!

What kind of work do you do for them? :)

Levy should have offered Modders a reasonable amount , not saying we should be held to ransom, but levy has to admit we have aplayer that could command £150k a week , so no point being stingy, modders is key to our uprising, we should make hhim feel at home and we want him, and just get other business done, if we fail this time in the market the blame should lie on Levy, im a levy supporter and in camp levy - but if we fail again in the window then the common demonomitor has alweays been levy. Plan needs too be made clear do we want to be in the CL or top 5 or 6 ?

i cant takle the excuse everytime that the other team screwed us over, as from what seems to happen we do that with every team we deal with, someone alweay has a comment or two about the way we conduct business with them and its not positive ever!!!

If Adebayor is only 50/50 then I hope we've got someone else in mind. City won't mind him sitting in their reserves and they'd happily loan him out to someone outside the Premiership so it's not in their interests to get the deal done quickly. I could just see them stringing us along until the 31st and then loaning him elsewhere leaving us high and dry.

To be honest we should be trying to bring in two strikers anyway.

Spoke to my source this morning following on from the bit in the RO last Wednesday. Unfortunately he had been away since then so didn't have any new information regarding transfers but said he would be majorly surprised if 2-3 big names didn't come in. The club were preparing for it in January at the Lodge, Holly House etc but it didn't happen.

Asked him about Modric, said can only imagine it being driven by 3rd parties, absolutely no hint of anything around the club at the end of last season that he wanted to go, even after failure to get 4th when the Lodge felt like walking in late to a funeral for a few weeks.

Bit of non-transfer ITK as well

When VDV arrived he was in terrible (physical) condition, Madrid preseason was very poor and would have left him ill prepared for La Liga let alone the Premiership, all the niggles and calf strains were due to tiredness more than anything, nothing long term, expects him to be even better this season.

Doesn't expect Ledley to be around for long, maybe the odd appearance this season, the club feels a bit of a duty to look after him possibly to groom for a coaching role. Finally the current full time medical staff at the club has been going downhill over the last couple of seasons and they make mistakes…

…more on that in a few weeks.

interesting from POTL in that Levy has let Modric down by not really signing anyone yet.

I know the window isn't shut yet but if thats what Modric is thinking, I can see his point although he should wait another 10 days till the window closes

Fantastic little story there A&C, reminded me of an old one about Wenger & Davids in a predator stylee (was that allygold?).
You sir, are a legend and a genius!

I'm getting more and more concerned as these days trudge by.
Imo, we need 3 or 4 players and that's a hell of a lot of work to be left for the last day of the window.
As good as DL is, it's a big ask.

We need Ade and Lass completed ASAP.

Doesnt seem we will ever learn, last minute again and i thought someone said "we had learnt from past mistakes". Im sure Ade and Lass are pretty much done deals as players and staff seem to be talking openly about them coming in, dont really talk about those things if deals hadnt been agreed already. Wow you have to patient to be a spurs fan during the transfer window

Hmmmmmnn...

Think that's the first time I've ever heard Charlie be critical of Levy. Frustration obviously permeating throughout the club.

No strike from modric. He is just not committed enough for selection

Thats what I've been told

Things is if we have already got Adebayor and Diarra in, and yes thats a big if I know, then were not actually doing that bad. Sure theres more to be done but at least he wouldnt be leaving everything till the last day and not quite firefighting so to speak but that does rely on Ade and Lass.

So I think whatever happens in the next week will either define him or completely undermine his credibility in the eyes of the fans.

Completely agree with this, if we havent got Ade and Lass in and everything has been left till lastmin.com there will be alot of angst amongst the fans. I don't even dare think about the backlash from fans if we fail in this window again, but then surely Levy and the club are aware of that as well.

Could be a defining 10 or so days for the club coming up....

Positive from POTL for me.

Sandro news is good, Lass and Ade still good.

The news that lass is 100% and Adebayor 50/50 is a little worrying. Maybe it has something to do with the delayed Nasri deal, that might get might spur them into action.

Daniel Levy is winding the fuck out of me. "He gets the best deal etc.." is bullshit this window. We needed to make a statement of intent. We are doing fuck all apart from signing players on the cheap from R.Madrid and loan deals in which the parent club pays everything. I don't know where all the funds have gone, but it seems Levy has seen the fact that 2-3 signings would put us firmly above Liverpool and Arsenal and he's thinking "no, I'll make it interesting by fucking about"

I'm really tired of Spurs in the transfer market.
