Plenty of ITK yesterday although not much of it got talked about in here. Instead it was formations which dominated proceedings. I'm tempted to swerve the round up and shout "442 and fuck the ITK!"

PLEASE STOP IT! Take the formation chat to the players thread who prompted your musings.

Yesterday, the Scottish and Welsh FA said they want no part in the British Olympic team

In other news bookies slash Britain's odds of winning a football medal from 50/1 to 2/1

Then on COYS the ITK started. This about Leandro

It's taking it's time and more than I thought, but a deal is VERY much on still.
Yes, it's taking it's time.

Then, again on COYS, some guy called Jacob

Levy and Harry are at loggerheads over transfers.

Harry wants Levy to go out and buy big NOW. Levy wants to offload all the deadwood first before do anything drastic.

Deadwood being the likes of:
Keane
Bentley
Hutton
Keane
Gio
Jenas

...who are all on significant wages.

Leandro will sign for us soon enough. That is pretty much done.
Levy is hopeful in signing Rossi as his big £30m+ signing. If that fails he may even go in again for Aguero, although he looks likely to go to Madrid as he has just signed a boot deal with Addidas.

Harry is not convinced either are what we need and would prefer a big no. 9 type. Adebayor is his first choice and as we all know he desperately wants Parker. Levy has agreed to both so long as we can offload some wages.

The sponsorship change was a bit of a mess which is why we are bit late with everything. Only got PL sign off last week.

Scutch added: For reference, Jacob is pretty much the main guy when it comes to ITK on club shirts and sponsors. He's been on the money for the past couple of seasons, as far as I can recall.
What a cracker.

Then, here on SC, The Goat spoke
The Goat said:

The Goat hears that the Wolves linked with Bassong are not necessarily Wanderers. Indeed the interest comes from mere good burghers.
Bruce and Sunderland have been in touch about a pair of our lads but nothing imminent.
Moving on, one thing is for sure: the key people involved in transfers are currently very busy. Fingers (and hooves) crossed that they can bring in the players they are currently working towards
Now that's how to post a cryptic. Nice and easy to resolve.

Then, POTL in reply to Jacob's ITK

No loggerheads.

It is not Harry's money- it is not his responsibility to look after finances and make sure we get the best deals for the club- that responsibility is Daniels. Hence why the negotiations we are involved in, Daniel is trying to get the best deals for the club financially that will protect us with finances and length of contract, bonus', renewal's etc.

Wheels are in motion.

Then pablo, possibly in response to The Goats info, possibly not.......

it is hudd that bruce is after

sorry i would have posted it this morning, but thought it was common knowledge
Common Knowledge? First I heard of it.

Then we ended up where we began, with Skyderen

Thudd won't leave for anything than silly-money.
And that was that.

In other news:

Talksport say that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are set to offer Tottenham misfit Jermaine Jenas an escape route with a £5m transfer.

The Press Association reckon that Chris Hughton is expected to be confirmed as Birmingham's new manager in the next 24 hours.

And one for those who like to read between the lines.......The Mirror reckon that New Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is set to splash out £80m to rebuild the side at Stamford Bridge. Top of his list of targets are Porto duo Radamel Falcao and Joao Moutinho, as well as Santos's Brazilian teenager Neymar.

What no Modric?

Then my missus said that i'm immature and I have to grow up soon!

Like thats going to happen so close to conker season

Have you donated to SC yet?

Well we are in a +£5 Million situation now after O'Hara, hope the first money in isn't earmarked for Parker.

More than likely it is. O'Hara and Jenas out for say £11 million plus Parker in for £6 million. £5 million in credit and Parker is > Jenas and O'Hara in my opinion. What's not to like?

That I'd rather have either in the midfield over Parker. Certainly Jenas anyway.

Right, so we gonna get Rossi, Adebayor, Cahill, Leandro and maybe Parker?

Hands up who thinks that will happen.

When you think about our team it's actually pretty good. The one thing that let us down last season was that when VDV and bale were injured there was no one scoring and when thudd was injured and Wilson lost form out midfield was lightweight. What we need is to finish a strong first 11 by adding the striker we are all desperate for and then make sure that what we have on the bench is not ineffective.

It would surely take at least £20m for Sunderland to sign Tommy, considering what they got for Henderson and Bent.

Hudd is an interesting one though. I've been a supporter of his since his time at Derby and I'd always hoped he'd break into the first team at Spurs. However, for £15m+ I'd probably be happy to see him leave.

The Hudd-Modric partnership has shown it has defensive deficiencies, which means Tommy will have to play backup to Modric and partner Sandro/Palacios/Parker in central midfield when Luka's injured.

I'm not sure Huddlestone will be happy with that role this season and would probably push for a transfer next summer, only with his value diminishing thanks to a season of warming the bench.

His stock is quite high right now, so it might be better to cash in before he becomes unhappy and loses value.

Although Parker's wages will be more than O'Hara and Jenas combined, his value to the club as an asset will be far less, and his rate of depreciation much greater.

can't we just have a good old fashioned auction, parade the players we're selling rouind a ring, let the buyers look at their teeth, and any not sold get taken out back shot and made into puppy food
