BTW - this is a pretty good indication of how things are running behind the scenes. There have been a number of posts worried that we have no back up plan if Musacchio and Schneiderlin fell through - it would appear that we do have contingencies in place - just needed to have time for the original deals to play themselves out. I would say the biggest difference here is that some of the team leaks are no longer at the team, so getting a steady flow of all of our business is harder to come by.

I like the way this window has unfolded.

These Fazio rumours seem to have legs so we would have 6 CB's - Vertonghen, Kaboul, Chirches, Dawson and Dier plus Fazio.

Do we think Chirches is one out (rumours to Roma) ? Do we think Dawson is the second out ? and so we keep Vertonghen, Kaboul, Dier and Fazio ?

I think we need 5 centrebacks in the squad

Haha, maybe MM was a smokescreen and this guy had always been Plan A?

Also, it shows that Levy is actually taking his manager, sorry, head coach's views in consideration. I think it's no coincidence that we're suddenly after 2 Argie centre backs from Spain (exactly what he was in his career) and a Southampton player. I've always felt our transfer policy to be disjointed, never really supporting the manager/head coach regarding targets. Then again, I wouldn't support Harry in the transfer window, and AVB's contributions may have been too far fetched. Either way, I'm hoping that Poch is getting exactly what he wants.

What worries me is that JJ had agreed that MS was crucial for Poch integrating his style on the team and now he's not coming.
