Agree.
Even really good footballers don't make the grade so I wouldn't read too much in to it. Haven't seen enough of him to judge and even if I had my opinions probably still would not be worth listening to.

Your opinion not worth listening to? What a load of poop.

Edwards is tenacious. I'm not sure Pritchard would ever be desribed as that.

Pritchard showed plenty of aggression and battling spirit at Brentford. He is certainly capable of performing in a high press set up as much as Eriksen is.

Whatever the reason he is being left at home it won't be to do with his work rate imo.

Think the injuries last season just came at a terrible time for him. He was all set to be a part of things in a real way, then was out for so long. There was no way he could come into the team when he returned from injury, his fitness would have been miles off. The loan was the right idea, but clearly didn't work. Shame, but we'll move on.

The loan was the right idea - but to the wrong team and with a disaster of a coach.

My thoughts on be Pritchard ITK(ish).
Maybe he has talent and application which got him this far in Poch's thinking, but with Onomah and Edwards looming on the horizon, just maybe they've shown a bit more than Pritchard in training, and Poch has decided they have a higher ceiling at a younger age, and as such Pritchard would be better off sold for the sake of his career development, minutes on the park, while we still have players within the squad who can take his squad place.

would love an experienced midfield player to b added to the squad, like the time we signed Davids. Something we lacked in the run-in last year.

I'm with you: just hoping we are going to have all the necessary deals done early and then can pounce on a Davids/VdV type deal at the end of the window.

A few bits......

Don't take who went to OZ as a definitive who is staying or going, it isn't. A couple that went are still available for the right fee, and of the ones that didn't travel injuries and fitness issues have held. them back.

As before, told one more in(the second "forward") and barring stumbling upon a pot of gold, that will be it.

Now for a slight bit of back tracking. My mate still thinks he will be going one way or another, but Yedlin has impressed both in the fitness tests and more importantly how far he has come in a year. He was miles behind this time last season but has improved a lot in a short space of time.

As far as the outs the numbers just don't work as far as the midfield is concerned. None of the CM's are bring actively pushed out(and none want to leave) but the fringe players know that there game time will be limited. Good offers will be accepted for all the fringe players and then it will be up to them.

Also hearing Pritch is a likely casualty now.

One more in is what I was told. I assume if N'koudou signs that will be it. Was told back in April-ish MP wanted 3 in total and as yet hearing nothing different. It's very much a case of evolution over revolution this Summer.
Sounds good- the info about not reading too much into players not in Oz necessarily being flogged is also interesting. Lots of thinking yesterday that Bentalab was off might not be true.

I also believe if Marcus Edwards really does well in Australia that could push some other players further out the door. This is a great time to be a follower of the lillywhite

We need to calm down a bit re Edwards IMO. He is a very talented lad, but he is also fairly lightweight. A pre season friendly out in Oz is nowhere near as physically demanding as the Prem

And to think I was given so much negative comments in the Yedlin when I dared to suggest that Yedlin had improved and had been impressive at Sunderland.

Bloke I work with is a Sunderland season ticket holder (poor ****).He reckons Yedlin is the fastest player he's ever witnessed in the flesh. Also says he's one of the shittest defenders one-on-one that he's ever seen.In short,he suggests a career in track & field or bank robbery.

Thanks Trix as always.(y)

Can we assume this is Nkoudou or is there another surprise before the stumble?:cautious:

Interesting times at our club even without all the usual ITK from previous windows.

(No I don't mean Redknapp's car window)
