I agree with pragmatism, but I am not even shouting for established players but a highly regarded emerging talent which we should take a chance now. We all know the market had gone tits up but to stay within sight of CL, we need to be a bit more bold like BVB. Our revenue is very close to BVB so I don't see why we cannot afford one slightly over budget emerging star signing every year.

I am not talking even Witsel cat of players. I think we all had seen how the team got crush in Newcastle when Alli and Dembele was missing. Wanyama might give us that shield but I doubt he can make those key passes or link up to the AM effectively. This is still a missing pc bec Mason or Caroll just can't make that cut.

I just pray we get this one sorted. Dembele can't play 38 games and that is excluding CL. The team just look like duds without both. Just saying.

BVB are not building a new stadium and surrounds that cost £750m.

We also need to sell quite a few already to get the money back from the sales. Can't see us selling anymore to buy any kind of special player

Yep agree although Im still not buying this special player bollocks but if the club do bring anyone in then fair enough they did well.

Even when this stadium is built and we are in it i still cant see club policy changing, i think some feel the wallet will come out with Harry enfield shouting loadsamoney, sadly cant see it.

Just a few bits that are either new or reinforce previous snippets

The Goat hears that after GKN we are done, unless we can agree a deal for a player from Spain that Poch really likes. Edwards has impressed and has been promised time in cup games if he continues to do so and The Goat hears a new deal has been signed.

CCV has not impressed as much as team would like but that's all that The Goat heard on that and finally Pritchard has completely not burned his bridges yet, but has to improve and impress more in training. At the same time he is available for the right offer.

We will still live within our means for sure, the difference is those means will be higher - a bit like Arsenal eventually being able to spend 35-40m on the likes of Ozil and Sanchez.

Let the guessing game of every player in Spain begin.... I'm sure AC would welcome that....:cautious:

Lads. Just a heads-up that copying ASCII art of a cabbage and then laboriously re-spacing the characters back to where they should be after the forum software removes formatting during pasting is doomed to failure when you click Preview Post to check that your work will display as intended.

Or so my friend tells me.

We shall see meanwhile we do the best we can.

SC dont do this to yourselves. Although, I will admit. It is entertaining when you do only to have your hopes ruined and a meltdown commences.

I am guilty of this at times too to be fair

I'd be amazed if anyone here is thinking we will buy in a superstar. We all know that won't happen.
It would be nice to add another AM to the squad, doesn't have to be top class. Just wonder if we have done enough this summer. But i would also say a club like ours, I would be happy if we just kept all the players we already have

Thanks Trix as always.(y)

Can we assume this is Nkoudou or is there another surprise before the stumble?:cautious:

Interesting times at our club even without all the usual ITK from previous windows.

(No I don't mean Redknapp's car window)
