Honestly I am one of the most optimistic of fans but this is getting quite tiresome.....

HM I have seen loads. Also my in Law had a season ticket at Hull city prior to him leaving and every single Hull fan raved about him. He has been also great for Leicester. Would be a good addition if am honest but wouldn't say his ceiling is higher or equal to Jans currently

Maguire's a good player, and without sounding like a pretentious, smug twat I had that opinion when he was at Hull as well.

But considering the probable price and that he doesn't play a position that we need to strengthen imo, I'm not sure pursuing him would be the wisest use of our resources, but hey, I still wouldn't mind him.

I'm not sure rating a Hull player called Slabhead is pretentious.

If Maguire interest is real and we do get him 'somehow', then its very likely Toby is shown the door. Maguire for Toby probably weakens us defensively. But then, he didnt play much last season + if he is so keen on leaving, no point in keeping him in squad.

As long as we dont sell Toby within PL, and do get Maguire, then it will be a brilliant buisness. Also getting Maguire could mean, we play 3 at the back which makes Trippier all the more better threat. Also he himself would be a brilliant asset in corners & set pieces.

I am trying to put a positive spin here...lets see if we follow up interest with proper bid &signing him or is it one of those interest that peters out before even beginning...

More chance of seeing Jerry Maguire in a Spurs shirt come 10th August.

We won’t be able to get him either.
Transfer negotiations would be a nightmare, levy low balling and jerry Maguire shouting “show me the money”

Seems we’re getting more and more desperate. Would love to know what letter of the alphabet we’re on now as regards our options. Again I’d rather sign no-one than players that won’t immediately improve us.

He’s negotiating a new contract with Leicester. I reckon any news of him leaving is just agent’s tricks as part of that.

I’d take him though, he proved what a good player he is during the World Cup.

Poch made a rookie mistake by signing up before Levy splashed out. Daniel's probably halfway to Tijuana with his phone off and two big bags of swag.

Interesting news from the Goat about Maguire hopefully a long standing interest, before the world cup would have been good!!

After his world cup, Maguire would only go for quite big money if at all, money that I couldn't imagine us spending. I know the £60m figure has been quoted in papers. No chance we'd buy him for that and I wouldn't even want us to, to be honest.
