There were lots of smokescreen CMs last summer - Imbula, Kramer, Bender, McCarthy etc - that we've actually be shown to have gone nowhere near. So I wouldn't read everything into the Batyuashi noise

I think with anything, there are so many steps, and we don't know who, at what level, leaked a snippet to the press. In the Times article today about the stadium, it said that we we're planning on inquiring about Batyshuai as our first target. That's very, very early. ITK and a few journos saying we're further along than that having possibly already agreed terms.

Also, presumably, we scout, inquire, discuss many, many players. Poch was clearly aware of Batyshuai in a presser, so we've at least looked at him, and no doubt someone has asked about his interest.

I know it's shite that we've got feck all ITK these days in comparison to the 'Arry & then Sherwood days & this part of the site is worse off for it, BUT, I'm much happier knowing Poch & Co have this watertight Team working behind the scenes & we don't get a whisper of it. Would I be wrong in saying we announced Toby and the new stadium plans on the same day last year? And it was glorious. Fingers crossed for some of that next week then.

I'm gonna say there'll be a double announcement next week, but that double announcement will be, CL next season will be at Wembley & the £25mil a season from Nike for the Kit. Then, the next few days will see us announce our first signing.

A theory is that we're waiting on the 6 week deadline to pass on any objections to Haringey/Boris' plans approval before announcing stadium plans. This evidently is somewhere between 27th-31st May. Grey Fox's ITK appears to fit within the time frame.

On the Harry itk, I did a job with an England manager for a sponsor a few years ago and he commented to us that the English media contrasting with eu and sports media in general don't ask key questions in the press conferences, they wait until they can grab you in a corridor privately. You can see how power works

We had a triple announcement that day. NFL at the new stadium, the new scheme and Toby were all announced that day.

This season, unless there is a player that we dont know about(Batshuayi doesnt seem to be that close), we have supposed agreements for a Nike kit, Champions League at Wembley for next season and Wembley for the 2017/2018 season to announce.

Seen a few sources linking some goalkeeping prospects to us recently, wouldn't be totally adverse to replacing Vorm if the quality is available.

Plural, and the first group of several. This is encouraging. I'm genuinely hoping we can bring in 5-6 to keep improving and really compete in the CL and league.
