I thought Sanchez took some bedding in. It was generally Toby and Jan
Signed on 18th August two days before the Chelsea game, came on as a late sub in the next game, and started the following one and never looked back. For no pre-season that's walking straight in.

I think we sometimes forget that our ITK's get their information from diffferent sources, I know I do, from completely different directions in fact so pick your way through the trees and see the wood, we are very lucky to be honest.

3 in 6 transfer windows is not great though to be fair.
The best way to improve your squad is to buy players with the quality to improve the first 11

Or to coach them into better players like we've done with Dele, Kane, Dier, etc.

Poch has bought at least one player each season who has come straight into the first team and improved it.

Not true for all teams. And not true for Spurs.

A lot depends on where the players are in the growth cycle. Younger players can show tremendous improvement year-over-year - and you do not want to stifle that growth by bringing in players who may be better at the moment. When you have a young team, sometimes the best move is to have patience to wait for those players to find their peak, instead of chasing rainbows.

I’m all for the top signings like Sanchez,Wanyama, and the likes I’m not so keen on the punts we take on nkoudu, njie when we have youngsters in our academy I would rather us take a punt on

Stifling it by buying aurier, nkoudu njie and the likes.
Winks has not been stifled and he has Dier Dembele and Wanyama in front of him in the pecking order.
I believe in a fair regime (which I believe we have) if your good enough and have the right attitude you will made it regardless

Apologies got a bit off topic ?

Any ITK on the disappearance of the Andre Gomes transfer thread? It seems to have been removed off Spurs Community altogether this afternoon. It's the only thread I've posted on in this transfer forum.

I really hope our interest in him is gone as well!
