Running through the thread, I understand we're not willing to pay £70m for de Ligt(not De Ligt, as that would make him royalty).

On CBs(one for the teenagers here), does anyone remember Forest fans singing: "You'll never beat Des Walker!", then when he went to Sampdoria it seemed almost anyone would probably beat Des Walker?

Selling Wanyama? Hard to believe. He's the one player Poch bought from Southampton to start games and had a great first season. Injury blighted last season and it doesn't negate how imperious he had also looked at Celtic and Southampton.

Selling Aurier? That would be surprising. He's had a car crash season - is it more pens given away or foul throws? - but was supposedly an "upgrade" to Walker. I was disappointed that he shut out a bright prospect in KWP. The latter can certainly take a throw and doesn't easily concede pens.

What do we estimate on fees for sales? It's hard to judge since Neymar's transfer. VVD was only £75m because part of that money(£105 -£140m) came from selling Coutinho. Some of last summer's flops already reduced - Wimmer's £18m down to £12m.

I estimate:

Toby £45m
Sissoko £20m
Dembele £12m
Llorente £6m
Janssen £12m
N'Koudou £9m

This is nothing. In fact I’m currently resting in prep for what’s coming when the next ITK gets posted :nailbiting:
I am guessing this is in reference to what @Hercules just posted in the de Ligt thread which I am wondering if he meant to post here. I don't want to move it unless he meant too post it there.

You might as well post it in here, it’ll be all over the internet by now anyway

Whilst the manager has negotiated ALL his staff’s new contract, and his all verbally agreed. And was expected to be announced more sooner rather than later.

There is a reason for that, called Daniel honouring his words with the players he believes he can sign now, and they are not even in the WC. If he signs, then you should feel very confident in our chairman. Eriksen and others will not sign until the manager firs. And ifthey sign you know why.

We can talk as much as we want about players and manager bring under contract until the cows come home.I have shared my inside information with the bosses. I will stand behind what I have just printed.

Telling it as it is ?

Oh and when things slow down in the office and I next have time, those of you who treated us to team line ups will be getting another treat from me.

So basically it's all on Levy and the board either dig deep and pay out or become bigger villains than what some already have them down to be...... Exciting times...... Or truly horrifying if they choose option B ofcourse.

So to make this crystal clear all the multiple sources and imminent ITK was off the mark and Poch will sign when we make the signings? Not before

Or have I read that wrong and leaped to conclusions?

Good on Poch for not signing unless Levy follows through with his promises. On the other hand it doesn’t paint a pretty picture of Levy and comes across as very amateurish and embarrassing. On the verge of greatness... new stadium, manager, coaching team and star players tied down to long term contracts, intention to add several quality players and it all rests on Levy not doing a Mr Burns. Drag this out or renege on his promises and the shit will hit the fan... we’ll be a laughing stock.

Love Poch.

Poch: "Yes, Daniel, we are agreed on all the terms, and we are very happy to sign the new contracts! We love Tottenham!"

Levy: "Great!! Sign here!!"

Poch: "Sure thing boss, just as soon as you deliver a couple of summer transfers...."

Levy: "Wait, WAT?"

Honestly this feels more like dotting i's and crossing t's to me. If it drags out, I agree with you, but it's still very early, and I think calling it amateurish or embarrassing at this stage is premature. As an example, if there are verbals for Poch's entire staff, then any of them could have been holding things up. We don't see the inner machinations or have engagement with the lawyers or financial institutions that are potentially involved, and sometimes things just take time, especially with people taking holiday at the end of the season.

If it's July and we're still here? You're 100% in the right with your remarks.

I don't think even the staunchest of Levy's supporters would be able to defend him or the board if this goes south. As you said we are on the cusp of greatness and it all rests on them supporting the coaches to deliver the new plan.

I agree and I think it is no secret, not least of which to Poch, that Levy likes brinksmanship negotiating and 'winning' (i.e. getting his way). Nothing ever comes easy with Levy, god help our little hearts.
