Levy cannot fuck this up if true, he would lose so many fans. Almost to the point that there would be no way back IMO

Levy got Levy’d

My sincere apologies. Me the dick head posted in the wrong thread ??

Whilst the manager has negotiated ALL his staff’s new contract, and his all verbally agreed. And was expected to be announced more sooner rather than later.

There is a reason for that, called Daniel honouring his words with the players he believes he can sign now, and they are not even in the WC. If he signs, then you should feel very confident in our chairman. Eriksen and others will not sign until the manager does. And if they sign you know why.

We can talk as much as we want about players and manager being under contract until the cows come home. I have shared my inside information with the bosses. I will stand behind what I have just printed.

Telling it as it is ?

I estimate:

Toby £45m
Sissoko £20m
Dembele £12m
Llorente £6m
Janssen £12m
N'Koudou £9m

Dembele could fetch a bit more due to his performances in the big games this season, particularly Juve away. £18m, more if he goes to China.

Sissoko I think will end up staying. Nobody will offer more than 15 and his wages are prohibitively high, especially for the French league which is his most likely destination. Plus we're already light in midfield.

Depending on our incomings I recon Lamela might well be moved on. 2 years left so it's shit or bust time on the new contract, and he needed an unbelievable 6 months to prove himself which he didn't deliver. 25 to somewhere in Italy.

Wanyama wont go. Only the English clubs will pay our asking and we'd be mad to sell him to a rival in case he regains his top form.

Your figures for Janssen and Nkoudou seem optimitic, both have flopped badly at multiple clubs for 2 years. £8m & £6m.

One of our right backs will surely go, looking like Aurier. I was surprised at how appalling he was this season, for me the 23m Walker-swap was the coup of the summer. Shame, as still think he could do OK with a proper pre-season and some Poch direction, but if we're committed to making room for KWP then on balance I'd rather keep Trippier. £20m for Serge (still young, long contract).

Toby 45 and Llorente 6 sounds about right.

I make that around 130 total - maybe 140 if Levy can pull a Wimmer with one or two - and needing 3 players in return (replacements for Dembele + Alderweireld and a WF/Kane cover) plus maybe an extra CM.

I get if Levy isn’t putting his hand in his pocket, but the issue here would surely be that he has given Poch his word.

It feels like it’s a huge, huge few weeks for the club. We either move forward and have a real shot of doing something special or we go back 4/5 years.

Please don’t let us down little bald man

Levy does not want to see what happens if he gets this wrong.

New Stadium + Higher Ticket Prices + Coach leaving + Player Exodus = supporter revolt.

I think Joe would actually sack Levy - given the amount of money invested in the new stadium.

Even though it was a dickhead move by Rose, I'm pretty sure I agreed with everything he said?

I can’t help reading this all Ron Burgundy

Don’t think there were many that disagreed, it was the stupid timing which was the problem

China and the Neymar factor are the flies in the ointment.

There's a consistency until you say: "We've a bid from China or we've some Neymar money!"

On figures, yeah, but then you think: "£18m for Wimmer!" Decent player but not that.

Dembele must be low because he's easily looking the 31 he's approaching in football terms, he often doesn't change games and injuries.

Lamela to Juve for £25m. Often ridiculed on this but we both see how the runes are moving.

First thing to remember is poch is not a **** amd therefore would not ask for anything that was massively unreasonable and by all accounts he loves it here so his first choice will be to stay, so I can't see him doing anything that will hugely affect his time here with us.

I would imagine the contract situation is scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. I can't see levy being a twat about this either.

I can also imagine that Poch has given his preferences to Levy and set the criteria of player. They will both have agreed on that. So as long as Levy doesn't go back on his word and start buying cheap inferior alternatives I can't see there being too much issue.

This is not like the AVB situation, as we understood he was asking for very unreasonable targets. I can't imagine Poch will be demanding 70m for a player who is a huge risk and who isn't a 'long-term' strategy player.

Fascinating actually. Can't help but wonder whether Danny Rose was a spokesman for the whole team last year.
I think Danny Rose was speaking for Danny Rose, with some input from Walker.

It's worked out brilliantly for Walker, but far from so for Stones. Yeah, Stones needing extra weight training to pick up his wage packet - how has he advanced to being this great ball playing CB?

OTOH, players needing to win trophies to stay with clubs(That's you, Spurs! They'll all leave unless you win the FAC!). On the other, wages, playing against the best players, improving.

The Danny Murphy Test:

1. Money
2. Am I starting
3. What position

Or it will just carry on in much the same way. A bit ok, a bit meh.

I suspect it will be good but it will be planned and not the result of threat or panic.
