as much as I would like to be high fiving right now
read these itk updates and there is a chance this goes horribly wrong. if Levy reverts to some very familiar behaviours, and if Poch is actually serious about his demands, and what happens if they are not met...could be a horrific summer. This is not my prediction by the way. Just a sense that we are at a crossroads here.

Cheers for the info boys. In for quite the ride this summer by the looks of things, although I think it will work out I don’t think levy will risk losing it all. At the end of the day he’s a businessman and a very good one at that. When you have management and personnel that want to be there you reward them with what they want!

We do need some leaders and winners in the side, just to guide them over the line when the opportunity arises again!

If you write his full name the 'de' is spelled in lowercase. If its just his surname, both words start with a capital letter.

Matthijs de Ligt
De Ligt

Just on the off chance that anyone might be remotely interested... ?
I'm delighted (or is it Delighted?). Thanks!

China and the Neymar factor are the flies in the ointment.

There's a consistency until you say: "We've a bid from China or we've some Neymar money!"

On figures, yeah, but then you think: "£18m for Wimmer!" Decent player but not that.

Dembele must be low because he's easily looking the 31 he's approaching in football terms, he often doesn't change games and injuries.

Lamela to Juve for £25m. Often ridiculed on this but we both see how the runes are moving.

I agree Dembele is no longer worth 20+ to us, but based on some of the transfers we've seen in recent years (Oscar, Wimmer) there are at least a few clubs out there whose scouting dept seems to consist of little more than hearsay and youtube highlights.

Fortunately for us Mousa's best performances this season were in the blockbuster games (Juve, Goons, Utd) and so will have also been the most watched by the neutrals.

This was why the media hype around him reached such a fever pitch this season, with all the pundits suddenly proclaiming him "a player i really like" as if that's some niche wisdom, even though over the course of the year he was actually very average and not a scratch on the Dembele dominance of 2015/16.

Add in the recent inflation, the fact he's still only 30, and the genuine rumours about China, and I dont see 25m being out of the realms of possibility.

Levy is obviously not stupid, but can he really overcome his overwhelming urge to always get the cheapest best deal when dealing with transfers? Which wins - his stubborness or his intelligence? I have no idea but it is going to be a little nervy over the next month or so. If there is no action by the start of the WC, I would take that as a very, very bad sign, no?

I can also imagine that Poch has given his preferences to Levy and set the criteria of player. They will both have agreed on that. So as long as Levy doesn't go back on his word and start buying cheap inferior alternatives I can't see there being too much issue.

Levy cannot fuck this up if true, he would lose so many fans. Almost to the point that there would be no way back IMO

Levy got Levy’d

Come on the only fans we’d lose would be plastics. You don’t need to like your club or the custodians at some given time but you don’t stop being a fan because they do a bad deal.

Wouldn’t of lasted 5 mins in the 90’s-00’s

that last piece of ITK from Hercs has made me go from "kind of looking forwards to this window, to kind of dreading it".

all on a day I've felt like shit, and spent most of my non working time with sleeping and trying to catch up this thread.

really hope DL does whats needed to keep everyone happy especially Poch, even though Poch will now be putting himself under more pressure to produce. this might be as VY say DL most important/biggest season, but it will also be even bigger on Poch if we fall short.

That's just it...I don't know!

It's actually sounds positive IF we get early, wanted players.

Most of us are worried that Levy will fuck up and renegade on promises etc.

BUT WHAT IF...Levy genuinely go all out for the targets (3/4?) But they genuinely just don't come off for various reasons?

What happens then??

I have just come over in a cold sweat...

Poch will know whether genuine efforts have been made by Baldy.
