We'll take the money from utd.
Unfortunately this is the most likely outcome. It will be so annoying strengthening a rival yet again, but getting Martial the other way would somewhat soften the blow.

Would still love to see Toby stay and sign a new contract, but seems almost impossible from what different ITK's have reported :(

No it will not soften the blow. A blow from a rival is 5 time as much! No selling to direct rivals and especially manure!

I think Toby's injury is a big problem at this point in time. The fact that we're not prepared to offer him a longer contract must be putting some clubs off. Isn't that at least part of the reason he won't accept the offer we've put forward? I imagine that some clubs are waiting to see how he performs in the WC.

asking 75m for toby: not true
on sellling to manu: no other club bar chelsea in for him barca bid 22 last season

Don't know about Yanited at all but PSG and Barca have definitely shown an interest, and Man City have been sniping away with Toby's people since November.

Unfortunately we can't even rely on him having a great WC since Martinez tries to go balls out and win every game 4-3 giving zero fucks about defending. I just don't want him going to anyone else in England, even if it means getting someone in return. Just sell him abroad for £50m+ please.

Its very early in the TW and a lot of players that will move have probably not got any offers yet. Clubs can have a lot of interest without submitting a bid just yet.

Thanks Trix!
If Barca's "interest" is worth only 22m though, then it's more like a thought you have in the bathroom every morning than an interest :cautious: (not saying last season's offer and your info is related, but for the sake of my point...).

PSG, hmmm... always good for some price jacking, question is does Toby want to win the French league? :hungover:

If its Man City- only straight swap with De Bruyne will do.
Imagine Levy asking that with a straight face.

It's not. First time hearing about that offer was reading it here 10 minutes ago.

- I can believe the point on 75 - the fee's going to be between 45 and 55 I'd say
- on Man U not being in for him, I think that's very unlikely, nor can I see any reason for Barca bidding a fee that they know we would turn down. Perhaps to unsettle the player, but if that was the case, why not follow up?

Very odd intel

He’s saying Chelsea and United are the only teams in for him.

Tell City to leave the path clear for De Ligt and we'll sell them Toby. Once De Ligt is signed sell him to PSG instead.

Anyway too much negativity in here so I'll post this just so there is something more positive to think about.....

Mate had lunch with an agent based in Germany earlier this week and he said we are now pushing for Pulisic. Not a usual line of information(so not sure how reliable), but not the first time I have heard we are interested in him either.

Well Herc was also talking about a link in Germany so it could well tie in. Thanks for passing on.
