Delighted for Pochettino's new deal. Security is a wonderful thing!

Now I'm conflicted, though. Part of me really likes the thought of him having no choice but to agree terms of the contract that we upped our offer to, but he turned down. But part of me kind of hopes he (or his agent) end up being told to fuck off and he's left in limbo.

While I suspect he's done (Rose aside, Pochettino has no patience for messing about), there'd be a certain poetic justice in Alderweireld getting an extension as his performances deserve, but at the lowest £ increase of anyone - even Carter-Vickers.

IMO, this may be the most important signing of the past 10-15 years. On pace to be longest tenured manager at Spurs since....?

Burkinshaw? He'll easily be the longest serving in my lifetime, anyway.

Yanited prefer overseas. We will pay the fee and wages.

On another note, they won’t pay what we want for Toby, and whilst Citeh had initial interest, that’s gone stone cold. Espania inquiring, but as of now, nobody is firming up. Pretty sure Daniel has ‘Block caller’ from his father and silly advisors. I would be absolutely shocked if Poch changed his mind.

And to some who always doubt, ask yourselves would Poch had signed if he had doubts about DL's ambitions and knowledge as to his intentions....

Going by the ITK It seems that our main targets seem to be de Ligt, Sessegnon, Pulisic and Martial. It seems that part of Poch's crazy idea is investing in youth and bringing them in as first team players.

Not at all dissimilar to what Pep has done at Citeh then really with the signings of Laporte, B Silva, Ederson, Stones, Sane, Jesus etc.

Hasn't worked out too bad for them. A similar result for us would obviously be greatly appreciated.

We are very reluctant, and Poch wants to work with him in pre-season. Club would like to extend a further 2 years. Depends on a lot of things.

Yeah, but it looks like we're going to try and spend a significant portion of our budget on three teenagers. Maybe he thinks they're good enough to come straight into the team without seeing a change in quality, or maybe he's prepared to see us to go back a few steps in order to move forward the following season. Saying that it's very unlikely that we'll get all three , but it's an interesting plan if it comes off, especially as we've already got young players like Dele, Sanchez and Winks.

Really liking the Martial latest ITK, think he could be an excellent acquisition once Poch gets to work with him and he feels wanted once more.

I love the fact that onomah wants to prove himself with us, he definitely should be given a chance to do so.
