There is no hiding away from the fact there is an issue with Luka. He has been as good as gold for the last few weeks, yes he has a knock but he has been training. Following on from a conversation between the player and Daniel on Saturday evening, Luka only reported in for treatment early on Sunday morning (players trained at 10) and didn't train. He is not on strike though. You can look into it 2 ways. One that Daniel has let everyone down with the lack of investment so far, and that he has made Luka a derogatory offer of extra cash to stay. Or you can look into it that Luka has had his head turned and is being completely unprofessional. Mix the two together you will find a slight of an answer.

Sandro is making fantastic progress from his injury, no way will he be out for another 3 months. Closer to one month.
Tonight- could be the same side. Yes Livermore could start, but Hudd is fit and so is Jenas.
Busy busy last 8 days of the window at The Lane. hope some of you have booked the 31st off work.

Not downbeat, A shame that our intened business was not tied up earlier, but targets have remained the same all window, negotiations have just taken a lot longer than anticipated. There will and are signings. I guarantee it.

We do have an interest in Gary Cahill... the price reported in the media is higher than what we'd actually have to pay by all accounts! We're also interested in the Twente CB Douglas if that doesn't come off. Never heard of him personally, not sure if he even played against us last year?

I think the next 7 days will make or break the next 3 years. If we fail to add to our squad then will go into regress. The fans will become disillusioned, as will the players and then if you are not careful you can get stuck in mid-table without the finances to elevate yourself above it.

I hope I am wrong but this the 1st time I and many others have been pessimistic about a forth coming season.

Let's hope the ITK is right and Diarra and Adebayor are signing. Remember Davids and his protracted transfer?

...he'll turn into a normal Chairman and just go out and buy the players needed..rather than playing his silly games .

Its beyond a joke now. I am beyond concerned about this transfer window. For 80days we ahev had to listen to those delusional few say 'there's still plenty of time, we will make the right signings, in Levy we trust'.
Well folks, 8 days left of the transfer window, very real possibilities we go into the international break bottom of the table. Rat Face playing up, season could be derailed. All stinks of Berbatov, 2 points from 8 games and a Manager sacking.
We need new players, and 4 of them. We need a home banker, with none on the horizon (City, Liverpool, Arsenal next 3 home games) we need a confidence boost, high morale, a lift.

A week is a long time in football, and if by this time next week we have beaten City, signed Adebayor, Diarra, a CB and a winger then alot of us fans, players and Manager alike will be feeling alot more confident about the season ahead.

Had a conversation earlyier with my ITK and diarra to be anounced tommorow..... Adebayor by end of week ....
Problems with Diarra deal was all RM end and how to pay him his compensation for wages as he is going to be on about 65k p/w with us. Should be anmouced tomoz.
And tbh the reason he was given the adebayor deal hasnt been done yet was due to man city dragging there feet and wanting assurances after paying over half his wages for this season that we will sign him for 10mill at end of this season. Talks still ongoin but will be done by end of week! Sorry for the late update been at work all day then watched the game........

If Levy cant find a way through this and get the player when its pretty obvious we're desperately in need of a top class striker then I will be extremely disappointed with him

I was about to come in and say 'I bet there'll be alot of wailing and gnashing of teeth after last night's result' but I see that ship has already sailed, reached it's destination, dumped it's cargo, been reloaded and sailed back again before sinking out of pure boredom at the predictability of such a reaction.

Keep it together people. Just think that in just over a week's time you will either be able to:

a) glory in an excellent end to the transfer window with us selling the 'deadwood' and replacing them with the two strikers, one winger, one central midfielder and one centre back that we need.

b) piss and moan till your heart's content about the disastrous window, how Harry should be sacked and how Levy should be strung up from Seven Sisters station by his balls.
