The reality of the situation is that Chelsea, and every other club, have the right to move for whoever they want. If those players are willing to go there, that is their decision as they have to live with the consequences.

In my personal opinion, a move to Chelsea would be an awful idea for Willian as he will struggle to get game time when he will be rotated with Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, Mata, etc. but if that is his prerogative, there is not much we can do other than move on.

I still think there are more twists left in this transfer though, so lets wait and see what happens. For all we know he could end up on the OS in a hour.

Of course and there is nothing we can do about that. I still stand by my point though. They're worried about us. If they had really wanted Willian they would of got involved much earlier.

Didn't something similar happen with begovic? I'm sure I read somewhere we ended up being paid for him despite not actually signing for us, because we had an agreement in place. Maybe I've chosen the wrong week to stop sliffing glue

I know this is said in jest, but I think people should realises that transfers are much like the stock market in that they are highly fluent and can take unexpected turns at any moment. This window the business we have done is laudable, but we will never be 100% successful.

Let's hope we can get more positive news on the Willian and Lamela fronts today.

But how comes this allways allways happens to us?
Doesn't seem to happen on a regular basis at any other club

Potl usually comes online in the morning. If anything has drastically changed since he posted yesterday then I suspect he will tell us.

I would hope so.

It would be great to hear an update from him.

ALOT has happened since his late update.

As A&C has said this mornings Goat update is good (because of the source) then I am feeling a bit more relaxed about this this morning.

We don't know that though, AVB has always been a fan of Willian. Could have been a target all along.

He only moved to Anzhi in January. Trying to get him from them now would be impossible if it it weren't for the sudden change in tactics from the owner.

Kia is a twat
Roman is a twat
Chelsea are twats!

Willian....if you pick a historically tiny club like Chelsea over a great club like ours then you are a complete........I'll reserve judgement until we hear anything official.. That's tge least we can do!

Off to court...hoping for some good news when I get out!

They may well be worried about us, but I doubt a move for Willian has much to do with it. Sounds too much like a RAWK conspiracy to me. IF they want Willian they will be making the move as they think he can add something. Either way lets wait and see

I actually feel Lamela is the more unique player bearing in mind his potential.

If Willian doesn't fancy coming to spurs, playing every game and getting into that Brazilian World Cup squad then fuck him and his bastard agent. He's not worth 35million. There are other cheaper players out there who can unlock the door that can be just as good for us.
Well said mate! I thought he was a touch overpriced at 30 mil tbh, good player but as you say I don't want anyone that has to think twice about joining us with what we've got going on now! Let him sit on the the bench there and count his money! If he chooses us great! If not fuck him and get someone that will want to be part of something that's looking like a special time at our club!

This is why Bale should not be sold until all our transfers are complete. It's worth losing a bit of money on the Bale deal if it means we KNOW his replacements are in.

If the paperwork was sent, presumably this includes Anzhi's agreement to the sale, so wouldn't that make it a bit difficult to back out. Not sure how these things work though.

I may be totally wrong, but wasn't there something similar with the Chavs when Man Utd had sealed a deal for Mikel. If memory serves the Chavs had to end up paying Utd a fee for the player as compo?

I think that was a different situation. Wasn't Begovic supposed to be part of a cash-plus-player deal from Pompey for one of our players (Kaboul maybe?), so when Begovic decided to go elsewhere we demanded the extra money be made up for the transfer.

Just chill, whatever will be will be and one way or another we are going to emerge from this window in great shape. Wouldn't it be funny if Chelsea's actions and fear of us made up our minds to keep Bale

Lamela Soldado Bale

Could just about live with that and we'd finish above Chelsea with that, depending on how many officials a la Wednesday they buy of course.
