Yedlin leaving is likely to be one of the last outgoing moves of the summer, outside of youth loans IMO. Maybe Bentaleb leaving too but that's it. It's quite clear that Mason, Carroll and Chadli wont be leaving. The ITK's have tried to prepare us for that. Read the tea leaves. We'd accept bids but they dont want to leave. Yedlin, Bentaleb out. N'Jie for N'Koudou swap. Maybe a keeper in. That will be the extent of our business.

According to many reports in the US, the deal is done, and he was pictured at Newcastle's stadium and in the airport over the last two days. I think your timeline is off.
Eh? I wasnt talking about any timeline with Yedlin? Just saying him leaving is likely one of our last, if not the last, outgoing of the summer...

Read the itks from ali, grey fox and trix. They all align. They've been informed they wont get much playing time at all but they dont want to leave and Poch isnt forcing them out as he likes them.

You don't need to sell 3 players to make squad place for one player, as for the funds, please tell us how much the "special" player will cost, since you seem to know which players need to leave to pay for him.

I read this slightly different. Poch and the players have mutual respect. Rather than bullshit them, he has told them to find another club to maximise playing opportunity. If a decent bid comes in from a decent club, with comparable or better wages they will go. If not they will stay with no bad feelings on anyones part.

Greyfox's update convinces me that GKN will be incoming and Lopez.
I think the other big signing may well be linked more to outgoings, freeing up squad space, fees and wages etc. The follow up ITK from AliZ seems to tie that together, the extra AM being looked at.
If it is, as was previously mentioned, someone who isn't just an AM, but someone capable of playing AM and CM, that would round out our squad nicely. Someone capable of playing the Dembele role, but also potentially Eriksen too, which would bring us back to Greyfox's info and the lack of panic surrounding Eriksen being gone next year.
Makes me wonder if there's something in the Hakan Çalhanoğlu story.
My concern was Nkoudou coming in and Njie going out, would actually leaves us still a bit light of options, as has been seen from the initial two match day benches. But after reading that ITK I'm starting to think Chadli will still be here. I do think Bentaleb, and even one/both of Mason and Carroll will go, so maybe Chadli staying wouldn't be a bad thing. If we can add in a high calibre player capable of playing CM/AM with pressure onto the usual starters, that's going to make is a much stronger unit in terms of depth.
