I don't think he's signed a pro contract, no. Just decided to stay for the remainder of his academy time. I may be wrong.

I'm gonna be asolutely gutted if Onomah leaves. I know a lot of people won't understand why but I've watched a lot of him for both England and Villa and I love what I see. I really wanted him to get a shot at some more minutes for us but in CM.

Would make sense if the two youth are loans to Villa as part of the Grealish deal. They have lost a CB in Terry, so CCV plus one of Onomah and Edwards, with Onomah the more likely as Bruce likes him after last seasons loan.

He sounds like a decent guy but he also sounds really soft and malleable in off-the-pitch matters, letting himself get pushed around by people who don't necessarily have his best interests at heart.

I really disliked his comments after the World Cup, thinking that him not playing was unjustified, like he hasn't been watching Sanchez all season and was expecting to just waltz back into the team as soon as he was fit.

I was thinking it may be the case. That he's wanting to stay as concrete interest from United hasn't materialised. Maybe I'm just cynical. Thanks @dovahkiin
