£9.68m, thanks to the Euro collapse.
Well, that's fine by me considering all the good things that people want to say about him. Couple more like him please! (ie. young, classy, potentially brilliant, affordable)
Seriously think it's a coup for us. Getting a player with some nous in at the back. Probably over egging it a bit but it might even mitigate against the loss of Modric, if Verts can go in there and play. Certainly an extra option for him to bring it forward opposed to our traditional tactics of push it wide via the full backs or Daws hoofing it forward.

Top class centre back, fairly young, not demanding silly wages, seems to really want to play for our club, hasn't been whoring himself around (Hazard..). Perfect.

still wish there was some more on gylfi though. he was an absolute beast for both hoffenheim and impressed during his swansea stay, will evolve into a big player for sure.

With his fairly low price and his age should be a signing i hope we look more into. Will bring some more goals from the middle and will add some healthy competition for the 3 spots behind the striker.

look bound for pool, but with the latest cryptics i hope we can steal this one (besides domestic and cheap/talented doesnt seem like qualities pool look for these days;).)

Better and cheaper than other options like Remy imo.

As long as they don't behave like ****s, we've always made other fans welcome on here. You've been on SC even longer than me and should know that.

Apart from that, we're supposed to be interested in Sigurdsson, so that post was more on-topic than most of the stuff on here.

Thank you. Much appreciated. I have 2 excellent sources at LFC and since we are in for the same player I thought Spurs fans would be interested in what I know.

The two sources I mentioned aren't our sources but Jenkins and Smith (BBC) have proven records on breaking stuff before anyone (Kenny getting boot)

Thank you for the hospitality. Its much appreciated as I like Spurs as a club they do things the right way unlike City and Chavs.

The funniest thing is they think City are their rivals. They should be adding on a "rival fee" if they're selling to Fulham/Stoke/Everton, not City!

I love how RAWK is used as the reference point for what the typical LFC fan thinks and says. While I'm here can I just say that nothing is further than the truth. Within LFC circles it is regarded as a laughing stock and is mocked. An insult to a fan would be to say "you sound like a RAWKite" it is so badly regarded by sane, sensible and realistic Liverpool fans.

it has so many members and gets so much attentioned because it is one of the very few LFC forums that are open to anyone to jon and can be seen without registering. The best LFC forums (e.g Scouser-Tommy, RAOTL, YNWA.tv) are all closed private forums where new memebers are vetted to make sure they don't belong to RAWK.

As a LFC fan it is truly embarrassing what that site comes out with and the people on there. If you want a more realistic impression of LFC fans behaviour and opinions pop over to Est1892.co.uk. Its open and can be viewed without registering I think.

Congratulations on Vertoghen. He will be a boss signing long term. Shame he isn't right footed as I'd of loved him at LFC!!

So, let me get this right...

Ajax supposedly weren't going to budge and were demanding €15m or he stays.
We didn't want to pay more than £9.6m.

We're signing him for £9.6m (€12m).

Don't fuck with Levy, he will win.

I don't know whether anyone has mentioned yet, but should we assume that JJ's little late night gem a couple of weeks ago "anyway that Joe Lewis" was clearly a reference to the fact that he may not be our owner for much longer ?

Add to that Levy's sacking of Redknapp quote "I've spoken to the owner and we're going in a different direction".

Sweeper goalkeeper!
Villa-Boas wants one and he's Blanc's international goalkeeper.

Welcome to the Lane, Hugo Lloris!

rate him as a shot stopper and has good judgement but he is absolute cack at crosses! a piece on him tonight on irish tv for the match and my god he is one of those keepers rooted to line and when he comes he is all over gaff! put me right off. panelists including brady and giles arent 2 impressed by him but he did have a decent game, couple of decent saves.

personally i think butland is the keeper spurs really want after missing out on that cortouis lad at chelsea!

Yep it could well be, also add to that the complicated remark over the recruitment of the next manager (possibly anyway, although could be more to do with AVB' severance package with Chelsea)

Well, if AEG take over they'll get Blanc (and I'll cry because Yank owners are a disaster) and if the Qatari's come in they'll get AVB (and I'll dance the funkiest jive ever seen because oily owners are awesome).
