Hopefully entirely wrong, but having lived through a good few windows, the cynic in me is half expecting news that Levy has thus far bid about £8m for Berahino. :)

Think about it, if either Manchester clubs were interested in Berahino we're fucked anyway. Who else would we have to worry about competing with for Berahino ? And WBA have to sell this summer. I hope the delay is Levy's seriously squeezing the fuck out of this deal because I don't see why you'd bid anywhere near the buy it now price on an item that has a week to sell and has no other bidders who we need to worry about.

Thanks Trix for the update.

For some reason I can see us signing someone we haven't been linked with.

But I'd me over the moon with Berahino and Illaramendi. Just hope regarding the latter we don't get too caught up and end up missing out on a DM.

I suppose we are now commencing Levy Time. So I'm hoping from tomorrow and onwards there will be some news of incomings.

Illarra is clearly going back to Sociedad so I don't think he's even in the picture
You're just basing that on a few media outlets. Not clearly at all. I'd imagine has a few options but ITK still says we're one of them and he's the top of our list.

Still the obvious worry with Jack Bauer (yes, I'm still doing this. No, you can't make me stop. So piss off), is that he may be our "likeliest", but that doesn't mean we're not his third or fourth choice option.

Very good to hear we're confident on a back-up, though. Sounds like we will definitely have a new CM to share the workload, but not until deadline day as that's when Jack's (I told you, piss off) future will be decided.

I would add that Poch could well have smelt all this coming way back in July, which would explain why we've spent all summer drilling Dier into his new role and the team getting used to him. Poch wasn't prepared to have a month with Nabsy and Mason on their own. We'd have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those pesky pieces of bad fortune, an excellent substitution by Mark Hughes and a wonder goal from an Algerian.
