He's 28 and a fantastic player. He's very skilful, strong and a David Silva type player who won't rapidly deteriorate over the next 2-3 years as he's not reliant on pace (pretty slow) and will therefore not need to adapt his game. In saying that, the press are quoting figures of £25m which instantly rules us out.
Too old for Levy, especially at that price.

Too old? He's only 28 and has a lot of experience, which we need, and is playing for a team which literally does what Pochettino will, I'm sure, eventually want.
Too old means too old for resale after three years at the club. Not too old to play well...

I do not question Turan's quality, most of us would agree that he is a top player. It's just the fact that he doesn't quite fit our revised transfer strategy of buying youngish talented players. His price tag has to be in the 25 mill area for sure, I can't see Levy splashing that amount of cash on a player of his age (especially after the Soldado fiasco).

According to JJ (on twitter "the crap don't want to leave"
Referring to the unwanted players rather than a plumbing issue in his ass/home.

This is turning into a great day.... Morgan off to Arsenal, Imbula to Inter, the sh*t won't leave but at least we're trying to sign £25m Turan lol

But we're still paying their wages. We can't just chuck them in the dungeon (which we blatantly have) and have it not affect transfers.
I'm sure there was itk saying we were prepared to do just that and it wouldn't affect our dealings(?).

Hmm, that does familiar, now you mention it. But I can't see how having a massive wage bill because of players refusing to move wouldn't affect us, really? Levy runs a tight ship in that regards normally.

There was something about being prepared to let them rot, and that this would somehow get the idea across that they weren't going to play.

The problem with that is I that I don't think that's much of a threat to millionaires on high wages who don't have any interest in playing.
