Anyone still think we'll be trying for a winger now we've got Yago? I've already seen someone call him a 'cheap Mata'.

Would prefer a wide right forward more in the Ruiz mould (though Redknapp apparently isn't keen on him).

Didn't an ITK mention a late move for Marin Because we could get him cheap? You never know

Does anyone know if the loan deal with Adebayor is with a view of a permanent transfer?

I guess it depends on whether or not he turns into a Grade A horse's arse before the season's out. Past form says he will.

Yep. Pav can still score in the EPL. I know he was shite tonight, but then no worse than Defoe on Monday.

It's the mindset that worries me. There seems to be a lack of desire to fight for a place, he just plays in his own little bubble.

For me,Adebayor is simply here on loan as a stopgap because there is absolutely no chance that we will be able to afford his wages and no chance that he will take a massive pay cut.

Stop gap to where though?

I's clear no-one wanted to pay his wages either this window and sign him on a perm. I think people forget that he changed a lot after last years debacle with the Togo squad shooting.

Also the wages depend a lot on things like leaving settlement from City and potential signing on bonus from us, there are a lot of variables.
