There are lots of variables but £170,000 a week is a bridge too far for Spurs........thats nearly £9m a year.
I reckon that a deal has been done for Leandro and having Adebayor will give him time to settle in.

City have really shot themselves in the foot with regards to high wages and wanting to sell players. No club can pay what City pay so they either have to take a wage cut or City subsidise. They'll have to get used to paying half their wages even when sold.

I personally think that if Ade does the business this year we will sign him perm at the end of the season and he will probally get some sort of pay off from Citeh as he hasn't requested a transfer.

Also FFP will be the key. Very very few clubs will be able to afford the £150k+pw or anywhere near it, if he wants to play football week in week out he's going to have to accept a lot this than he is on at Cieth. But only time will tell.

As for Leandro he was heavily linked at the start of the window but it seems to have gone cold but some ITKers still maintain that this is a done deal iand ts just a matter of when not if, I hope that's the case. Not arguing though this kid looks a bit special.

With Adebayor now in the bag I think we can enjoy the rest of the transfer window with the knowledge at least we have done something and improved the area that was causing us the most problems. I for one am really looking forward to the next five days and can't wait for the rest of the ITK rollercoaster. I'm off to bed now but will be back in the morning for the latest ITK installments!

So I was away for over a week and I missed nothing. I really had predicted that that there would be movement after the first game. No time left to do anything. There is a massive story brewing here between a manager who wants nobody we can get and a chairman who will only chase players the manager doesn't want. Nobody else sees this? Or a manager who is only protecting his name to get the job he wants vs the chairman who doesn't have the money to fire him? Pretty apparent. The question is how real is the rift. Is it something the ITK are picking up on and occasionally editorializing when they are in the mood? That's my guess. The real story is going to be good and juicy. I know that will lead to mass suicide, but the drama is too good not to enjoy.
