He played in the Gold Cup and Copa America, so he's probably getting an extended break.

I can remember hearing about them. Just wondering why their squad was so weak. Didn't even realise GDS was in it.

Following the Gold Cup, both Mexico and Costa Rica were ordered by the federation to send U23 sides.

I think it was largely due to the fact that they took a squad of largely uncapped and inexperienced U21's, Having already one the CONCAF with the full squad. GDS was one of only two players with more than 5 caps in the squad, half of which had never played at full level, with another nine players with 5 or less caps.
