I'm not as astute with gambling as many, but I always thought the initial odds were a good indication of what would happen, but after that the odds represent the trend in betting. Is that a fair assessment or am I off?

Also depends on how volatile the market is, theres a good chance that it might not actually take alot of money to shift the odds about. But money changes it nevertheless.
