Great to get some good ITK, thank you so much for posting!!

New RB seems likely and required, KWP will still get mins for sure! Remember we are playing in the Checkatrade trophy as well so some opportunities there...

Barkley has been a plan all summer so no surprises there..

I like Wimmer, and think he is a good defender, seems to be a popular guy at the club, but I'm not sure 3 at the back suits him, and with it being a WC year, he will want game time! For the right offer (£20m-£22.5m) I would consider selling.

The attacker is interesting...but curious to see if it means Right Sided in the essence that they are strictly a winger, or whether it is more of a Right Forward role, more of a striker type...

Will be interesting for sure!!

Think we will sign Pereira or Toljan, or maybe both! (As Pereira can also operate as a right sided attacker)

I think we will sell Wimmer, would ideally love to replace him with Jonathan Tah at Leverkeusen or Christiansen at Chelsea, but I would also be content with someone like Veltman for a cost-efficient option. Interesting to see Stefan de Vrij with 1 year remaining, would be a great Levy-Deal!

Mystery attacker...

I guess JJ's second tweet clarifies what we aim to do this summer - we're going for the Italy player, Barkley and a RB as it stands (probably changes if Wimmer is sold).
Its not a RB, not Barkley. Don't think its a Wimmer replacement
So, whoever this Italian or Serie-A player is probably wing forward - something I believe we are looking at. So, that would narrow down the list.
a) wing forward from Italy -
b) should suit club profile.
c) Age is probably within 25 or 26
d) sell on value for Levy
e) Someone who isnt on huge wages and also transfer fee should be around 20m or 30m

Thinking it aloud - Keita Balde, Schick, Gabriel Barbosa, Berardi, Chiesa,Cuadrado & Suso.
Not sure if there are more such players...
In this last two names are already poo pooed.

So it's not a right back then, rules out the likes of Zappacosta etc.

Interesting. @THFCSPURS19 how many of the italians on your list (the list you made when Rob confirmed the answer had been guessed) were Right Backs? May help whittle it down somewhat.

I wouldn't say it sounds like JJ is optimistic in regards the player from Italy. Hopeful perhaps, but certainly not expectant at this stage.

I hope the Italian doesn't roll around for 10 minutes every time he's tackled like the Roma players.

Yea, narrows it down from 60 to 55, that should help.

5 out of 33. We're down to the Final 28.
Was it confirmed that it was a player from Serie A and not a player of Italian nationality? Must admit I stopped following the various 'Italian' ITK with all the blind guessing going on...

Your age bracket is too narrow, mate. And several of those are beyond realistic, IMO.

The Italian must either be a right wing forward / AMR, probably left footed. Or a centre back. But more likely the former as that's our most obviously understaffed position.

Interestingly, the linguistic definition of pragmatic is almost exactly the opposite of the everyday definition. Why does SC always feel like being trapped in the black hole sequence in Nolan's Interstellar?

I think it's a wide forward who was at the Euro U21s

With that in mind my eggs are firmly in the Berradi basket. We have been interested for a while now for sure

For me, the pragmatic comment means it's going well, but we've been close before numerous times only to be gazumped at the last knockings to be too confident about it until it's official. Just being realistic.

I'd imagine all parties are keen but we aren't currently giving either club or player an offer they can't refuse yet.

I have a feeling this is a pretty ambitious one to be honest.

Anyone else think the way jj talks about the italian, the player is actually of italian heritage and not a foreign player in italy?

That would make him an italian midfielder/forward, agree?
